Wrapping up Popsugar
I would like to join. I was halfway through my book, but didn't get to finish.I was assigned:
2015--[] A book based on a true story The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks
Can I join?Would How to Be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life count as a book written by a celebrity?
I realized last night that the book I've been reading fits. The task is 2018, A book set in the decade you were born. The book is My Brother Michael. I started reading it during the toppler for a different category, but I set it aside to read another book. After the toppler I picked it up again. I was born in the 1950's, and I discovered last night the book is copyright 1959.

I bought as soon as I could.
I finished my assigned task and I have reported it on the correct thread. I like another, please. Can I have 2018 - a book about or involving a sport? I will read
.
Amanda, Laura, Casceil: Welcome! I've added your books.Yours too, Lanelle. And congrats on completing your book!
Updated to here. Everyone, please double-check to make sure I got everything right and your names are on the participant list.
Happy reading!
Reminder: For those of you whom reported a book finished, please create ONE thread, like we did for the Toppler, and put in the year, task name, and your book link. Here's the reporting thread: Wrapping Up Popsugar Reporting Thread .
Thanks!

oups... the title is Rosa Candida
We might have a few more people join us, but I'm thinking it will be okay to request one more book now. So go for it, folks!

Got it! Thanks!
I'd like to add2016 [] A book from Oprah’s Book Club Icy Sparks
and
2017 A book about a difficult topic A Three Dog Life
Getting harder, for sure. I just read about a genre I’ve never heard of: Speculative Fiction, so I’m going to read The City & the City for that and get in on this month’s group read, too.
Kristie wrote: "Can I have the one I requested earlier? I’m on the app so can’t link right now."Yep! Just added City of Thieves to 2018 - Favorite Prompt....

Lilisa, I'm putting you down for The Monster of Florence - 2018 true crime. I figured you'd still want it, since you were already listening to it.
Roz wrote: "If no one is reading 2015 a book with a color in the title, I started reading White Rose, Black Forest."Roz, a newcomer requested this task soon after you did. I had hoped you'd get it. Sorry about that!
Do you have something else you'd like to read?

GOOD PLAY. BONUS!☺
Although... wait... I'm already getting a badge for participating in the The Lost City of the Monkey God discussion. Oh well!
Debra wrote: "Although... wait... I'm already getting a badge for participating in the The Lost City of the Monkey God discussion. Oh well!"I finished that before the toppler and have not entered my notes yet. I've kept the book for reference until I do. I'll probably have to read parts of it again to figure out what my notes mean!☻

Awesome, thanks Debra. If we get to third round choosing, let us know!
okay, I've managed to gopher for most all of the tasks remaining, except those where I need to accost a stranger to see what book she is reading!Let me know where to fill in.☻
I’m doing the 2018 challenge separately, Almeta. I’ve written down several books I’ve seen others reading and even taken a few pics of book covers/spines when I couldn’t get a good look so I could zoom in later. Fortunately, no one has caught me being sneaky because that would be awkward to explain. Lol
Lilisa, you're all set.Almeta, will keep you in mind when things get sketchy.
Kristie, that's too funny. Covert!
Debra, I've finished reading my last task and I have added the book to my post on the reporting thread. Can I have another task, please? I'd like 2017 - a book of letters. I'll read Set in Silver.

Thanks Debra!!
I'm taking "a romance set in the future," 2016. I'm reading "Steampunk Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Novel Set in the Future." Steampunk Darcy
Casceil wrote: "I'm taking "a romance set in the future," 2016. I'm reading "Steampunk Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Novel Set in the Future." Steampunk Darcy"Great! That seemed like it would be a harder task to fill!
I would like to read advanced: a best seller from the year you graduated high school, please. I will be reading Gone Girl.
Jessica wrote: "I would like to read advanced: a best seller from the year you graduated high school, please. I will be reading Gone Girl."Great to have you!
Casceil wrote: "Yes, romance in the future took some looking."Any of the In Death series would have qualified. I had Loyalty in Death earmarked for that task if I'd had enough time.
I can pick up 2016 A book recommended by someone you just met. A man who just joined our local bookclub recommonded Major Pettigrew's Last Stand. If that task is still available Debra?

Welcome back, Esther. I'm so sorry about your mom and hope she's doing well.
What's the name of the book you were reading? I'll be happy to add it.
