ABANDONED. Fantasy series about a ragtag group on an adventure

Read this book in the mid 1990s but I think it was from the 80s? We passed them around at work. There was a woman named Tika who worked at a tavern before joining the quest and an elf sort of character whose race was sort of kleptomaniacs. They stole everything and “a family heirloom was something they’d had for a week”.

This was a series and in one of them Tika’s husband is conscripted into a gladiator type outfit and he’s crying and everyone thinks he is missing her but then he admits he’s crying because the food is so bad and he misses the biscuits Tika made.
