I'm always amazed at all the stupid stuff popping up into US authors' books about Europe (or France). Sometimes, it makes me laugh, sometimes, it irritates me :-(

Maybe they are just referring to vacation time... As for Germany, schools are closed for six to eight weeks during summer. That doesn't mean people are on vacation the whole time, though. ;-)

I'm right there with you Simone. So far I'm totally enjoying the book but no, I don't see Dom & abe making it to favorite status for me either...but, I think they're going to be hella' fun and adorable.
