The Witch with No Name
question
What to read next?

Can you please recommend any books that are similar to the Hollows series. Something with strong characters and similar writing style?

I like Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. The first two books in the series are a bit difficult for some to get through but most are hooked once they do. It was Patricia Briggs and Kelley Armstrong that brought me to Kim Harrison though. Have you read any of their books?
I really like Carrie Vaughn
.
I like Kitty as a narrator and the story develops well as she goes along.
Yes I'm a big Butcher fan, but his last few books are really testing me. I'm still happy with Vaughn's story line.

Kim's voice is singular there isn't anything as good out there but all that have been recommended are worth the read. My best recommendation is Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniels.
Magic and Tech are opposing natural forces and the world is switching back to magic. Kate must solve crimes in a magic torn Atlanta. Also, Katie MacAlister's Aisling Grey series is good more comedy than the Hollows, Jim and Jinx are similar. Early Anita Blake by Laurell K Hamilton is good, but after incubus dreams it's basically the same book over and over. Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark
is good not like the Hollows at all except it's a world populated by paranormal folk, really cute and really funny though.

Yes, there is a series that take place in GA, Magic Burns, is one book, it is very good and similar to this series with Rachel as the main person. In the Magic Bites series, there is girl that is the main character and she has a thing with the "lord of the woods" which he is a shape shifter. anyway, not a lot of books so far, yet it is very good series!!

the Reapers, Inc., series by Angela Roquet (starts with Graveyard Shift).
Rebel & Reboot by Amy Tintera.
Harrison's Madison Avery series, which I liked much better than I thought I would.
And if you're stronger than I am, the House of Night series by P.C. Cast. (I don't like who I become when I read this series.)
