Done, turning the book back in to the library so the next person can have it. That means I'll lose access to the book for looking up stuff, so first a question. It's about the finish to Ruby's story.
(view spoiler)[One of the epilogues covers Ruby's encounter with a recruiter, named *flips through book* Joanna Lightbridge. It just doesn't fit with the rest of the book. Yes, I know that's the person that Ruby wanted to meet right before the transformation back took her by surprise.
But why does it matter? This feels more like a beginning than a coda. Is it the start of the sequel, covering the beginning of the women's liberation movement? It makes no sense that Ruby would try to front as the white redhead forever. She has a limited supply of the potions now, and they seem to last about a day. So if she has 200 vials, which seems like a lot, that turns out to be about one work year. I just don't know what Ruby expects to achieve.
I'm curious if this is someone I'm supposed to know. For instance, if there was a coda with someone people called "Martin" going to his alumni weekend at Boston University, I think I'd get it. This one I don't. (hide spoiler)]
