I love this movie, and just recently finally got my hands on an accessable to me version of the book, which I was planning to read this month. I've been desperate to read it for ages, but could only ever find a paperback... Until recently. Just in time to join in with this!
I've had a copy of the movie since one was gifted to me when I was in my late teens, and watched it so many times I was able to provide unofficial audio description to my brother (also blind) when I managed to persuade him to watch it with me one Halloween after I'd lost the last of my sight. ?Yeah, I know the movie well enough that I could tell him what was happening even without seeing it myself.

Nice. Its a movie I have seen often too not sure I would call it a fave, but I suppose I like it so much that the description will fit. So curios about the book.

Pre watch(decided it would be fun to post this now):
I have seen the movie several times, read the book only once, today.
I have a preferance to the movie. Interested to see how I will feel about it after having read the book today.

Unfortunately I cant see it tonight as I planned to watch it on hbo, but my brother in law hasent renewed it. soo.. yepp. Kinda want to see it soon. So who knows.

I could easily list loads of ways they're different though, just from having watched the movie in the past, and read the book recently.
My pre-watching thoughts are the same as yours: I like the movie better. Book was good, movie has been a favourite of mine for years.
Thank heavens!!! I couldn't watch it last watch anything yesterday. My dad was really sick.
Glad you enjoyed it Victoria.

Haha! SO nobody saw it on the assigned date!? Haha, how ironic and fun. Hopefully november will be better.
We will talk about how it differs from the book, what works, how good it is. Etc.
