There's also In the Beginning: Creation Myths from Around the World with a different author; I'm not sure if it's a different edition or a different book with the same title.
Plus:
The beginning: Creation myths around the world
In the Beginning: Creation Stories from Around the World

I'm sure the name of the book was something like "In the Beginning" or "Creation stories from around the world" - but numerous searches haven't turned anything up.
It was a children's book with gorgeous illustrations - each 'spread' was a different creation myth. The front cover (or maybe it was the back cover!) I remember vividly - Hindu deities, Brahma and Vishnu, sitting cross-legged on giant lotus flowers in a stream. The book was hardcover, and I think square. The creation myths were from all over, and the artwork was amazing - I remember one with a giant spider in a scallop shell with the sun and moon in it, another showing a (Yoruba?) creation myth with a giant woman between two streams. Other creation stories covered: Japan, Aboriginal, Hopi, Greece, Norse and a few others. I think all the time about how amazing the art and stories in this book were, and would love to share it with my own children some day. I'd really love to find it again - if anyone has any info on this book I'd be so grateful :)
Thanks :)
