SOLVED. Children's book about characters that come to life! [s]

Hey everyone! Love the idea of this group! I don't have too much info on the book i'm looking for because i must have read it in 2nd grade and now i'm 20!

So i'm a little hazy on the details. What I do remember for certain is that the characters have lives in the book but then something happens in the book and the characters start being able to actually walk along the book margins! They realize they are book characters and might try to escape the book world. I think it was a white book with a window and flowers on the front but i cant be sure. I hope someone has read this! Thanks so much again! Ill update this if I recall any more details.

The characters might try to leave the actual page that they live on. And I think a young girl owns this book and reads it. It becomes daytime in the book world when the girl opens the book and it becomes night when it is closed
