Jill (dogbotsmum) | 1356 comments My top 4 were Costa awards. Victorian Religion. And Conspiracy

Bottom 4 were Negative opinion Gender issues. Involving another planet, realm. And book assigned but never read.

The first two tops were what I voted for previously , and the other two I don't believe we have had before.

Chrissy | 1142 comments I just tried to vote and got a survey monkey error - not sure if my vote went through! Should I / can I resubmit?

Katie | 2360 comments I'm also super pro both of the multi week prompts this week & voted for both of them. I would be happy if either of them made it in.

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3287 comments I voted, and it was really difficult since nothing jumped out at me immediately as something I really wanted, and there were many that I did not want.

I'm not necessarily opposed to multi-week prompts, but I'm not a fan of either of the ones here since they both seem too close to free choice for me, especially the one that allows two books from the same genre. That seems incredibly broad. I seem to be the minority though, since I've noticed people seem to prefer multi-weeks where the books are linked, but I tend to prefer those where the prompts are linked and the books can be separate.

I voted for the neo-Victorian and the other world since I'd voted for both of those when they came up before (other world was close enough to portal fiction), and the faith/religion prompt since I have a couple of books that I really want to read that fit. I also voted for the book that won an award in a genre you like, which I didn't expect to vote for at first. I had a couple of other prompts in mind that I was considering, but chose this one because it gave me the most flexibility.

Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 1731 comments This one was really hard for me. There were quite a few I wanted.

The ones I disliked are the school one, if I did not read it I did not like it, the awards, do not like awards, and name bigger than title, usually popular authors and usually formulaic plots.

Veronica (ronireads13) | 816 comments I voted for the periodic table, a book on gender or gender issues, two books related to the same topic, theme, or genre, and a book with religion. I ended up down voting the Costa award book and the book that you read before and didn't like.

I wasn't sure about the periodic table one either at first, but the idea has really grown on me and would be interesting to see how everyone interprets it. I looked at the Costa awards books and only a couple stood out to me, many of them I have never heard of. I also down voted the one that you have read before and didn't like because I am hesitant to read something that I have already read and have disliked.
It seems like there are a lot of differences in the discussion this round so it will be interested to see what gets voted in.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm very curious to see the results and I love that the time was shortened and we'll see the results tomorrow!
