Hi, Siri, I read and write PNR, insta love is in quite a few, mates etc., christine feehan does some fab Pnr, witches in her seahaven books, Leopards and vampires I also love her ghostwalker series. JR Ward has the Blackdagger brotherhood. Gena Showalter has The Lords of The Underworld and Kresley Cole has The Immortals After Dark. I'm sure you'll get a lot more recommendations. I could recommend my own, my women tend to get as good as they get, but mine is a serial, which means the plot and characters carry on throughout and I've just released the 7th book in the serial so over 460,000 words lol
Thank you so much for the suggestions. But I'm afraid I've already read most of them. But I'll give Christine Feehan's books a try!
Damn, Sorry, Siri, I love most of her work, I'm especially fond of The Ghostwalker Series, enhanced, psychic soldiers, male and female.
How about Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed?
Lynsay Sands, Argeneau Series.
Keri Arthur, Riley Jenson Series is another.
Or there's my Bound Series, I have the first 4 books of the serial together in one boxset and it's on KU at the moment x
P.S. I'll have a think, I know there are more.
Hey Siri,I've loved all these authors-
Sarah J Maas - She has two series that I enjoyed. Both only a few books.
Patricia Briggs - Mercy Thompson series, although she has others I haven't read
Laurell K Hamilton
Ilona Andrews - Kate Daniels series
Richelle Mead - The Glittering Court series
Hope that gives you some new ideas!

Siri, just came across this list.Sassy, kick ass heroines... maybe you'll find something in here:-https://www.romance.io/topics/best/pa...
K.F. Breene's Fire & Ice Trilogy is very good. Strong, sassy, kick-ass female; arrogant male lead with slow burn.Kristen Ashley's Fantasyland series is another good one.
Shelly Laurenston's Call of the Crows series is very funny and all of the females are strong fighters.
Good luck with your search.
Hi Siri -I'll jump in :) Here's some UF suggestions:
If you haven't read Karen Marie Moning's Fever series, it's excellent! Mac starts clueless and sweet but quickly becomes Kick Ass and Jericho Barrons is hot as hell, definitely grumpy and protective. Great slow burning romance too.
I can second Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson (and her spin-off Alpha & Omega series too) and Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels is AWESOME. Kate and Curran, a lion-shifter, have amazing chemistry and tons of witty banter. It's a really interesting world too and Kate is an ultimate Kick Ass Babe.
Also, Rachel Caine's Weather Wardens series - with the connected Outcast Season - is amazing, I'm reading the last book soon and am kind of sad to say goodbye to such great characters. There are Wardens, kind of like elemental mages who can control the weather, and Djinn. Very fast moving plot.
PNR Suggestions:
I don't read that much in this genre but:
Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series, about an archangel and a hunter (I only read the first three books but I enjoyed them)
Deborah Cooke's Dragonfire series; I read the first four ages ago but I enjoyed them. Plus, dreamy dragon shape-shifters!
Eileen Wilks' World of the Lupi - I read the first five (also ages ago LOL) and really enjoyed them, they are a sort of police procedural PNR with wolf shifters.
Hope you find some great books, if you do let us know!
This series is only slightly PNR but with fabulous sexual tension and the perfect amount of suspense imo: Behind Closed DoorsIf you want something more strongly PNR - and topical with The Shape of Water and forthcoming Aquaman: Updrift I'm the author of this one... and I'm busy readying the third in this series for release, pant-pant.
Have you tried Jane Cousins Southern Sanctuary series? There are some minor editing issues, but for me the characters and stories are good enough to overlook it. To Woo A Warrior

Thanks, Shelby. The list is great! I'll try Mercy Thompson and the Glittering Court series.
And, I'm already a die-hard Ilona Andrews fan. All Hail KD and His Fuzziness!!!

Ok, I'm convinced we are soulmates.
It's almost my favorites list...except the Mercy Thompson and Weather Wardens series.
I loved Kate Daniels, Guild Hunter, Dragonfire and Fever series!!!

I'm glad I could help x
Just read a brand new author and her book fits your description. Her name is Elizabeth Hudson and her book is called "Omega". It is about a young female werewolf trying to get out of her Alpha's wrath and power. You can get it on Amazon in either paperback or E-Reader at a very reasonable price.
Yay!!! Kindred bookish spirits! That's actually amazing. I will try and wrack my brain and think of some more series you might like 😄
Hi Siri,I think you would love this bookWhen It Will Rayne, It Will Pour!
It sounds just like what you are asking for. This book has a strong-willed heroine, that has a scarred past but is humorous and witty. Past and present intertwine in an interesting way, while Rayne (the main character) struggles to keep them apart. It is an all-around book full of heartfelt moments, action, and romance.
I’m looking for a similar book! But the two I love fitting into this category are:The Fever series: These books have me hooked on the urban fantasy genre. I don’t know if I will EVER love a book series as much as these. I read the first five in a matter of days.
The Cruel Prince: This is a YA book series. The second book won’t be released until January but I highly recommend it. Kick ass first person heroine, slow burn romance that is unexpectedly pleasant. I already have the second book preordered.

Darkness Dawns by Dianne DuvallHow about Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardians series about the gifted ones who are special humans that all have different psychic abilities and weapon skills which they use every night fighting off rogue vampires. The hero in the first book is grumpy as hell and it's fun watching him fall in love. Every heroine in this series is incredibly strong and they kick ass every night with the rest of the warriors. (Ami's story in Night Reigns is my favorite in the series)
Heart of Darkness by Lauren Dane"Heart of Darkness" by Lauren Dane is the 1st book in one of my favorite witch romance series. The women lead the different witch clans and are fierce as hell. Many of them are enforcers or bodyguards (Going Under is my favorite from this series, and these books eventually tie in to the shifter books by this author which are also really great)
Neither of these are insta love in my opinion. These are pretty popular paranormal series so let me know if you've already read these and I'll list a couple more.
Hi there, I’m Esther and I write stories with a dash of magic & a little pizzazz in the mix. Check out Lost in Amber if you enjoy girl power, superpowers & a toe-curling love story: https://www.amazon.com/Lost-Amber-Wor...Blurb:
She just wanted to mope over her breakup, but the universe had other plans for Zoey Mills.
Twenty-four year old Zoey is at that particular point in her life when everything seems to be going sideways. Over the course of one week her boyfriend breaks up with her and she finds out she’s been genetically altered with enhancements foreign to her world.
Jasper’s first earthbound mission seemed simple enough: clean up the mess the former Interplanetary ambassador left behind, retrieve the altered survivors and capture the scientist who went rogue.
Meeting her changed and challenged everything he’d ever known.
Recommended for: Fans of Paranormal Romance and readers who enjoy light Sci-Fi and adventure stories with a healthy dose of witty humor and romance. Perfect for fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout and Cassandra Clare.

So, any suggestions???
