Marie De Hert (mariedehert) | 1 comments Dear feminists, booklovers and our shared shelf members & moderators,

My name is Marie, a passionate feminist, booklover and filmmaker for Antwerp (Belgium).
I'm a recent member of this wonderful online book club and I wanted to announce that I'll be hosting a real-life book club, inspired by Our Shared Shelf in Antwerp.

We'll be reading and discussing the books from Our Shared Shelf, only in a different order. We'll be starting with The Power by Naomi Alderman, followed by Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur and Why I'm No Longer Talking To White People by Reni Eddo-Lodge.

I want to thank this group to inspire me, and so many others over the world. I'm so excited to start hosting these evenings in my city and to engage in lively debates and passionate discussions.

If any of you are from the Antwerp area (or just visiting) and you'd like to join. Find us on:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/21129...
Our first evening will take place november 21st at my favorite bookstore Cronopio (Kasteelpleinstraat 21, 2000 Antwerp).

If you have any suggestions or tips as on how to organize a successful book-evening, please let me know. I'm still a rookie :)

Thank you all, and especially Emma, for this online community.
I truly believe that books, page by page, have the power to change the world.

Lots of love from Belgium!

Marie
