Is there any interest for this? I'm finding as an audiobook listener that I don't do this type of challenge and so I have no idea how easy/difficult/short/long/duration to make the list of words... in other words, I suck at it and need HELP! LOL

I don't know about making a list but I'd sure appreciate it if someone else did, so that I could complete it :D

haha yes too hard! I was trying to be all clever with the words all being of a single theme... only good if all you're reading is mystery books right?
I just looked up some old scavenger hunt challenges in a few other groups to get an idea of what types of words lists they're using so I have a much better idea now!

I keep forgetting about trying to find words a lot of the time, so in the end, I mostly log ebooks, because it's so easy to check afterwards... but it feels a lot better to have the list as a bookmark and notice the word without any help stand out while reading!

We've updated the criteria based on input from last round:
Guidelines:
- Challenge will run 3 months Oct 1 - Dec 31
- You will choose your level for # words you will claim per book:
SHERLOCK HOLMES = ONE WORD PER BOOK (26 books to complete the list)
OR
DR WATSON = TWO WORDS PER BOOK (13 books to complete the list)
- You can find the word in the title, inside cover, or any page inside, but you must read the book to claim a word from it.
- The word ending doesn't have to be in exact form. (ie. investigate or investigation are both ok, instinct or instincts are both ok).
Tracking
- Include the book, the page or chapter, and the sentence in which you found the word:
Examples:
- sleuth: The Sleuth Sisters by Maggie Pill, Title
- clues: The Sleuth Sisters by Maggie Pill, Chapter 1: "...Faye laid a proposal before me, watching my face for clues to my reaction."
