SOLVED. Looking for old 70's small book for children about mother and daughter. [s]

Looking for a friend for her birthday. She remembers her grandmother reading it to her so must have been printed before 1975. It was a small picture book under 5 inches with simple line drawings and no color pictures inside. It was about a mother and a daughter and she loved it. I know its not much to go on. It was not a golden book
