Here is an article in Huffington Post that talks about actors who were miscast in movies that are based on books. Like most readers, if there is a book I really like, I’m definitely going to have some thoughts on who should represent the characters from the book.

What do you think are some horrible casting decisions for book characters? Do you agree with the journalist's choices from Huffington Post?

I totally agree with Josh Hutcherson being a miscast as Peeta Mellark. He was my favorite character in the series, and Josh just doesn't have the screen presence to do Peeta justice.

I also hated the casting of Antonio Banderas as Armand in Interview with the Vampire. The character of Armand was only nineteen years old in the book, and his youth was an important part of what shaped his character. Marius actually warns Lestat never to make a vampire as young as Armand. (Though, of course Lestat did Marius one better.) Casting Banderas in the film was such a Hollywood move.

I'll wait until I've seen Ben Affleck as Batman to judge, but I was disappointed from the outset because I had already cast Michael Fassbender in the role of the new Batman. Mmmmm...Michael Fassbender... Oh, sorry. What were we talking about?

I feel the same way about Peeta. He was also my favorite character in The Hunger Games books and I didn't feel like Josh Hutcherson was right to play that part. He's a good actor, but not Peeta.

I'm also going to throw out there that the Twilight cast was really bad. I'm not a fan of the books, but even I know they were horribly cast.

Amber | 9 comments Rachel McAdams as Clare in The Time Traveler's Wife was truly horrible casting. I am not a Nicholas Sparks fan. I don't think Audrey Niffenegger reads like Nicholas Sparks at all. But they made a Nicholas Sparks movie out of her book. The bad choices made about that movie admittedly go beyond casting. Wretched.

I heard The Time Traveler's Wife is an amazing book, but I can't bring myself to read it because I saw the movie first and did not like it. Maybe I was not in the right frame of mind when watching it because the movie was too sentimental for me.
