Her eyes grew wide. "Seriously?" She said, tucking her blouse into her skirt with difficulty.
She shook her head. "I don't know if my tiny body could handle that." She said, pulling on stockings and her boots.
He winked at her "I am sure it can , just wont be so tiny then."
She groaned and laid back on the bed.
"Let's go." She sighed and stood up.
He stood with her "nothing to brisk" he told her.
She nodded and grabbed a shawl and wrapped it around her shoulders.
He led her outside and out into the forest.
"You're not going to murder me out here are you?" She teased.
He looked at her almost shocked "No" he was so flabbergasted by her comment he didn't know what to say.
She looked his face and smirked, " I was only joking love."
He nodded "I hope so" the memory of what her father did to her mother fresh in his mind.
They walked until they could hear a small stream babbling along.
Lucy smiled at the sound and started walking toward it.
He followed her watching her graceful steps.
Once they reached the rivers edge, lucy stepped over a log, picking up her skirt.
He followed her his eyes watching f the forest around them.
She smiled back at him and waved him over.
She took his hand and walked him to the streams edge.
He held her hand and gave it a squeeze.
"Are we still going to run away?" She asked.
He sighed "I would go anywhere with you, but the baby?"
"What about the baby?" She touched her stomach.
"I'm not sure we should go far due to the baby"
"Unless you think you are up.for.traveling"
She nodded and looked at him. "I think I am. I'm only pregnant. I'm not incapable of walking."
He.nodded " I think we should travel by wagon or boat"
He shrugged " I have a little and we can sell the animals and lease the two farms perhaps."
She shook her head. "Never mind. We don't have to sell all your hard work." She sat down on a log by the waters edge.
She nodded and pulled up her skirt and began untying her her boots.
He watched her grinning at her playfulness.
She pulled off her boots and stockings and stood up.
She picked up her skirt over her calves and walked into the water and gasped.
He pulled his socks off then roles his pants up.
He followed her into the water laughing.
"No, I mean River as a name." She looked at him.
