She trudged into the house, frustrated.
He check the barn for the needed repairs.
She sat down at the kitchen table and put her arm on the table, palm up.
She traced a large vein with her finger with a grim look.
She could be so stubborn.He thought to himself.
She sighed; to be honest, she wasn't sure what was wrong with her and that scared her. A discarded knife on the table caught her attention.
He began to make plans.for.the chicken.coop.
She squinted her eyes at it for what felt like forever. Then suddenly, it moved ever so slightly.
He stepped out the measurements then got the horses ready to haul logs.
Then, the knife lifted off the table and zoomed across the room, embedding itself into the far wall. She gasped.
He found his fathers ax and secured it to one of the horses.
She stood up and made her way slowly toward where the knife was in the wall. Hesitantly, she grabbed ahold of its hilt and pulled it out of the wall.
He went to the house to tell Lucy where he was going.
She starred down at the knife, not hearing him enter.
He walked in looking at her "Lucy?"
He looked at the knife "You okay?"
She nodded and quickly put the knife down. "Yeah...fine."
"Good, I need to go cut some trees for lumber."
She rolled down her sleeves and sighed. "Okay."
"Do you want to come?" he asked concerned for her all of a sudden.
"I don't want to be in your way." She shrugged.
He nodded "Okay, just be careful" he said as he turned to go.
"Wait." She murmured and snagged his hand.
She climbed her hand up his arm and over his shoulders.
She cupped his cheek and kissed him softly.
She broke the kiss after a moment and looked into his eyes. Her eyes were now green. "Be safe, okay?"
He looked at her and nodded not saying anything.
"Promise me. Please." She whispered.
She frowned. "What's wrong?" Her eyes were back to normal.
He turned and walked out to the horses.
She sighed and went upstairs to his room.
He led the horses out into the trees looking for one that would provide the lumber he needed.
She made the bed and then lay down on top of the bed.
He soon found the tree and set about chopping it down.
He worked long and hard the day passing by as he worked.
Soon he had the tree on the ground and hooked to the horses.
He pulled into the yard with the tree and the horses.
She stirred at the noises outside.
