"Well, it was good seeing you." Matthew smiled.One of the men began to venture across the street.
Jeff took her arm and headed toward the wagon.
Lucy stumbled after Jeff."Hey!" The guy called out to them.
Jeff turned and looked at the man.
Lucy frowned and tugged on his arm. "Let's go."the guy smiled widely once he was close to them. "'Ello little lady."
He crossed his arms over his chest and chewed on his tobacco. "And what might your name be miss?" "Lucy." She said softly.
Jeff shook his head "She is with me and we were just leaving to our farm"
"Your farm?" He smirked. "I've never seen you 'round here before."
"But I've definitely seen you before." He winked at Lucy."Funny, because I've never seen you before." Lucy huffed.
"Please excuse us we need to be leaving" Jeff said with one last attempt at being civil.
"Mhm, right." He said, not convinced. "Then I'll be seeing you around, Lucy." He smiled.
Jeff nodded and took her hand leading her to the wagon.
Lucy furrowed her brows and followed after him.
He mumbled under his breath and helped her in the wagon. ((mod??))
"What?" She questioned.((yeah :D))
"Nothing" he said.((uh oh I better behave))
"Just mad at myself for daring you" he said.
"Yes but now every guy in the territory has noticed you"
She sighed and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Its okay I kind of like it" he replied.
He nodded "But not when they get pushy"
"I don't like it when they are either." She frowned.
He nodded "Hard not to notice you though."
She sighed. "I wish I wasn't so noticeable."
"Because I don't like being looked at like an object. Plus, it upsets you."
He nodded his head "I suppose you are right."
She sighed and starred at her lap.
She leaned against him. "Where too now?"
"Kent's farm for a milk cow I hope"
He pushed the horses down the dirt road.
"What would you have done?" She asked
"I would have started a fight and probably gotten beat up by all his friends"
She frowned. "I'm sure you could have took them."
He laughed "Maybe but I don't think I could whip them all"
"I'd help." She nodded confidently.
