"I need to stop for some money at my parents old place"
"Okay. That's fine. Will they be home?" She asked.
He shook his head sadly. "no they went west".
"What for?" She pouted, taking his hands.
She nodded. "Hmm, seems like a good reason"
"I suppose, there will be useful things they left behind."
"plows and tools that were to heavy to carry."
"Would they mind if we take them? Or at least use them?" She asked
"Are they not coming back at all?" She asked quietly
"I don't know depends on how much land they get."
"So... they just left you here?" She frowned.
He kissed her back " I suppose we are to be farmers"
He shook his head "No you will be a writer."
"And you will be a writer's husband." She smiled
She giggled and took his hand. "Shall we go now?"
She nodded and grabbed her coin purse.
"I have some money at home also." he admitted.
"Okay." She smiled and took his hand
He led her to the barn to get the horses.
She walked into the barn and petted the brown horse with a smile.
"Yes. I wonder if she has a name." She said.
He shrugged" You can give her one.
She laughed lightly. "Are we taking the wagon or just the horse?"
"We better take the wagon to carry the supplies."
"Right." She agreed and hopped into the wagon.
He hooked up the horses and then got in the wagon.
She smoothed out her skirts and folded her hands on her lap.
He took the reins and moved the wagon toward town.
She rested her head on his shoulder
He smiled and sighed satisfied with life.
