Her hands slowly slid down his chest as she stepped back a little.
She followed with a grim expression
"I should be asking you that." She replied
"where would she want to be buried?"
"By the oak tree by the creek." She told him
He nodded and picked up the shovel.
She followed him out back and met him at the tree.
She jumped up and climbed into the tree.
She sat on a branch and picked an apple and took a bite.
Soon he had a hole dug deep enough.
She hopped down and took another bite.
She took is hand and tossed the apple aside.
She nodded and looked over at the wagon.
He walked over and lifted the body out of the wagon.
He carried the body to the grave and laid it in the grave.
Lucy took off the necklace she put on and tossed it into the grave.
She shook her head. "I already said things." She said.
He nodded and started to.cover the body.
her lip quivered a little as she watched him for a moment but then walked around the grave and down the forest path to the creek.
He finished his job then.sat to.rest.
She made it to the creek and stood by the water line with her arms crossed over her chest and tears soaking her cheeks.
She starred out into the water, her back to the way she came.
She sighed, sensing him come up behind her.
She nodded and said every so quietly: "I know."
She whimpered and inhaled sharply.
He stood behind her and looked at the river.
She bent over and picked up a rock and studied it in her small hand.
She tossed the stone, making it skip over the water.
He shook his head and sat on a stump.
She sighed and walked over to him and took his hands in hers, looking down at him. "You can tell me."
