He took her fist on his chest " I am so sorry" he said holding her tight.

She didn't try to pull her hand away as she sobbed, but stopped fighting and let her body go limp.
He held her rocking back and forth with her in his arms.
"I hate him I hate him." She muttered over and over again.
"I know" he said still rocking her.
She let out a shuddery breath and turned her head to look at her mother.
"Don't look" he whispered not looking himself.
He stood when he thought she was ready.
Darted into the kitchen and grabbed a kitchen knife.
"Lucy?" he said as he reached for her.
She ran around him and outside onto the porch.
"Lucy" he called after her as he followed her.
She ran onto the front yard and stood her ground. "Are you happy now?! My god damn mother is dead, and you killed her!" She screamed into the air at nothing.
Jeff stood and watched her unable to help her.
"I'm gonna kill him." She hissed through her teeth, turning around face him, her face raged.
He looked at her "yes but you have to think about it first "
"No. I'm going to do it. There is nothing to thing about!" She screamed, clearly hysterical.
"But you can't do it now" he countered.
"I will find him. And I will do it." She hissed and rolled up the sleeve of her nightgown and hovered the knife over her wrist. "Is this what you want!" She screamed to the sky.
She whimpered as her hand that held the knife shook.
"Please" he said walking toward.her.
She tried to take the knife away but couldn't by an unseen force. "I can't!" She yelled, trying to pull it away.
Some sort of force in her head was making her not move. "Help me!"
Jeff.reached her and grabbed her arm pulling it away from her wrist.
The knife flew from her hand as she collapsed onto her knees in front of him, gripping his hips as she shivered and cried.
He sunk down with her and held her to him.
She whimpered and held on to him for dear life.
He sat her in the wagon and looked at her. "Feeling better?"
She didn't say anything. Her face still as stone, her cheeks soaked and her eyes red.
He sat next to her and put his arm around her.
She hung her head low and didn't move.
"I'm not going back into that house until her body is moved. Of course, I don't expect you to do it." She said hastily after a long while.
"I was planning on doing it" he mumbled.
"I could raise her." She said in a very low voice.
"But why would you do that? Would it be her?"
She sighed in defeat. "No. I don't think I'll be able to handle it. But something is urking me.."
"I never saw her ghost." She said softly
She nodded. "I saw all the others. Even that squirrel that day we bumped into each other." She said, remembering that day and seeing how things have changed.
"Do you think she stayed away for a reason?"
