Jeff watched his heart pounding.

"Go away." She then whispered. The rabbit hissed and collapsed dead again.
Jeff looked at Lucy and whistled "Pretty impressive"
Lucy exhaled a lungful of air and collapsed onto her knees.
Jeff rushed up to her "You okay" he asked lifting her to her feet.
She rubbed her temples and sighed. "Yeah, just lightheaded."
She shook her head and curled a stray hair behind her ear. "No. I'm fine."
"You sure we can rest on that log over there" he pointed out.
She shook her head again and cleared her throat. "I'm fine. Let's keep going." She said, sighing.
"Okay" he said holding her hand and walking slower down the road.
She stepped closer to him and hugged his arm tightly, panting a little.
"Really we could rest" he offers again but enjoys her so close to him.
"We shouldn't. We have more important things to do."
"Nothing is more important than you" he said looking at her serious.
She smiled and caressed the side of his face. "I'm okay, my love. Nothing I can't handle."
"Okay" he replied and held her close as they walked.
She got her breathing under control after a few more minutes of casually walking.
He could see the house through the trees and.he paused.
Lucy pursed her lips and jogged up to the try, grabbing a branch. "Hoist me up."
He stood behind her and lifted her by her waist. "Be careful" he whispered.
She swung her legs over the branch and straddled it.
She held onto the trunk and stood up on the branch, peering through the leaves
"See anything?" he called up after her.
"The old lady said it was big" he said.
"It's so beautiful." She said in awe. ((Sorry, had to deal with some drama))
"Do you see anybody there?" he asked((dare I ask?))
"Not outside no, but there is definitely someone living there. There's a wagon." ((Nothing bbad. Just my school wouldn't give me a yearbook))
" Should we wait or go up there?" ((how come?))
She knelt down on the branch so she could see him. "Hm, what do you think? Should we?"
"I think we should wait and check it out some more" he said. ((awww you fixed them right?))
She nodded and held her arms out to him. ((Yeah, I just got mad and was like "give me a yearbook" and they did ))
He reached for her to help her down. ((good for you))
She hopped off and held onto his shoulders, stumbling a little.
He held her tight to keep her from falling.
She wrapped her arms around me his neck once she was on the ground. "My hero." She teased
He grinned "Your earth bound hero" he countered.
"Mmmm." She giggled and kissed him gently
He kissed her back then led her into the trees a ways.
"To the house the stealth way" he replied.
He crouched and moved through the trees working his way toward the house.
She did as he did, crawling close behind him. She gasped when her foot snapped a twig, absentmindedly grabbing the back of his waistband.
He smiled " be careful " he whispered.
"Sorry." She whispered, her cheeks turning pink.
