Jeff pulled the wagon up to the stable and jumped down to talk to the livery worker.((do you have it narrowed down to just a few, what are you going to study?))
Lucy hopped down off the wagon and sorted through the things they brought with them.((I have a vague idea, but im not sure. And I want to study English))
Jeff settled on a price to board the wagon and horses for the night and he had that much money with him but not much more than that.((hmmmm well it will come clear soon I hope, lol you can come here.))
Lucy picked up a bag and held it closely to her. Her gaze swept over the forest tree line behind the barn.((Where exactly is 'here'?))
Jeff grabbed his bag and took her arm to cross the dirt street.((lol ))
They walked across the street and walked up the steps of the small hotel.((hmm, I'd like to stay in my country. lol))
Jeff opened the door for her and then stepped in after her.((I thought you might))
Lucy nodded her thanks and told the lady at the front desk for one room. She told them they were room four down the hall to the right.((hehe))
Jeff followed Lucy down the hall "Do you think we need to order a bath?" he asked. ((talk about brutal.))
"Places like these have rooms with tubs. Fancy porcelain ones. I've stayed in a place like this a few years ago." She told him.((Aw man, how do you think you did?)
"Really?" he asked a little surprised.((I am hoping for a 70 percent))
"Yeah. Claw foot tub. Water pump in the actual room. Can you believe that?" She giggled excitedly. ((Fingers crossed!))
"No way" he replied "Is it warm?"((yes I need the luck))
"We'd have to ask for the water to be heated." She said, stoping in front of their room door.((I wish you luck))
He shook his head "Better save our money"((Thanks, how is your day off going?))
She reached into her cloak pocket and pulled out a drawstring bag of money, dangling it in front of his face with a grin. ((It's going great, sitting back and relaxing lol. Got a lot of reading done))
"Where did you get that" he asked his eyes widening. ((what you reading?))
"I had a job once upon a time." She grinned.
"Ohhh. Still lets not spend all of your money" ((Ahhhh))
He unlocked the door and stepped back to let her enter first.
She nodded her thanks and stepped into the medium sized room. A double bed stood in the middle of the room, matching dark wood furniture set around the cozy room. A door that probably led to the tub room was off to the left.
He whistled low "This is way nicer than we are used to" he said in a low voice.
She smiled and walked over to the bed, trailing her fingers along the plush, floral sheets.
"You like it don't you " he said in a low voice.
"Am I suppose to say no?" She said, looking over at him.
He shook his head "Why would you say that always tell me the truth"
"I do like it, yes." She said, setting her bag on the beg and shrugging off her cloak.
"Me too but I don't know I feel out of place here is all"
She walked over to him and put her hands on his shoulders. "Jeff, just enjoy this small luxury for now. It's only for the night." She said reassuringly.
He nodded "Okay I will" he said smiling at her and wrapped his arms around her.
She smiled warmly up at him. "I love you."
"I love you too" he replied quickly and kissed her on the nose.
She giggled and pecked him on the cheek then stepped back, picking up her pouch of money. "I'm going to go get the warm water okay?"
He nodded "Okay" he said and sighed.
"I'll be right back." She said, stepping out of the room.
He smiled and set his things down on the bed then sat and removed his boots.
She came back a few minutes later and pushed the door open before she stepped in with a big bucket of warm water, picking it up with a grunt.
He rushed to help her as she came in.
He took the bucket into the other room and set it beside the tub.
Lucy walked in behind him and smiled brightly at the elegant tub, touching the cold porcelain with her small hand.
"Nice isn't it" Jeff said watching her.
"Very." She said, rolling up her sleeves.
Jeff watched her and dipped a finger in the warm water.
He shook his head "I can do it, do you want it in now?"
She nodded and ducked out of the room to get some clean clothes. Thankfully Ben picked up a nightgown and a robe for her when he got them more supplies.
He lifted the bucket and poured the steaming water in the tub.
((I'm stressing trying to pick a Uni to go to, lol))
