"But you know what I can do..." She trailed off.((Aaahh))
"Yes and that makes you something special" he replied((yup it don't get easier lol))
She smiled a little just as the sound of trotting hooves came from outside the cabin. ((Lol))
Jeff led her to the side of the window so they both could look out.((What homework do you have? Still in school?))
Lucy sighed with relief when she saw it was Ben who ordered the horse to a stop.((English homework. I had history homework too but I lost my research for my project... So that's not getting done XD and no I'm home now))
Jeff relaxed also, he walked toward the door of the cabin.((sorry busy days ahead for me))
Ben hiked up the steps with two bags in his hand.Lucy stayed in the cabin.
((Meanwhile..I'm in bed lol))
Jeff waited for ben to come into the cabin.((ohhh visual!!! lucky you, I have a early class today lol))
Ben stalked through the door, dropping the bags with a deep sigh. Dry blood covered his mouth. Lucy hugged her arms around herself and stood behind jeff
((Aahh, I'm skipping all my morning classes today, lol))
Jeff looked at Ben. "what just happened back there?" he asked looking at the blood on his mouth.((you can't do that can you?))
"Scarlets found us. And I know exactly how." He said annoyingly, running a bloody hand through his hair.((I can but I shouldn't))
"And how was that? I thought we would be better prepared" Jeff said.((Well time for me to shower and get ready for school))
"Her father." Ben said, pointing at Lucy who was behind Jeff. "W-what? My Pa has nothing to do with this..." Lucy said
((Okay))
Jeff nodded "Her Pa is a simple farmer, who loves his family" he replied.((You have fun just hanging in bed. meanie))
Ben shook his head. "I think we need to have another talk."((Hehe, I will )
"All we ever do is talk" Jeff almost whined.((Not that much fun!!!))
"Fine. Rest for tonight. We need it." It said, shuffling the bags at their feet and turning to leave again((Fell asleep for like five minutes lol))
Jeff nodded in agreement "yes well all could use some rest" he looked at Lucy and gave her a quick smile.
Ben took his own bag and trudged out of the house towards the barn. Lucy returned the smile and bent down and picked up a bag, holding it to her chest.
Jeff picked up the last bag and took it up the stairs to open it.((Still in bed?))
Lucy followed and set her bag down on on the naked bed, and pulled out a large quilt.((Yeah. Probably gonna be for the next hour lol))
Jeff found his pistols in the bag along with some boots and sleeping gear.((lucky! I got class in twenty minutes.))
She pulled out a small loaf of bread and a few skirts and a blouse but no night clothes. She frowned and sighed. ((Fun stuff! I also don't have school tomrrow either, yay))
"Whats the matter?" Jeff asked when he heard her sigh.((How can that be?))
"Nothing." She said, walking around the bed to the front of an old fire place opposite the bed. "Do you think this will light?" She asked, looking over her shoulder at him. ((Students get a day off tomorrow))
"Yes of course it will" he replied looking at the fireplace "I will go and get some wood" ((well I am off to class, Wish me luck.))
She nodded and sat down on the bed with another deep sigh. ((Good luck :) )))
Jeff busied himself with the fireplace getting a small warm fire started in it.((thanks a surprise quiz and a peer review on my paper, ohhh what fun))
"Was there any night clothes for me in your bag?" She asked, reaching for his bag on the bed. ((Oh joy! Lol I'm at school now. Gotta do a quiz soon))
He shook his head "I didn't see any" he said as he blew on the weak flame of the fire trying to get it to burn faster.((In what class?))
She frowned and walked up behind him, watching the small flames appear.
Slowly he fed more wood into the fire and soon a large flame was warming the room. "I hope the smoke doesn't attract anyone" he said as he stood.
"Me too." She sighed, crossing her arms over her chest. The reflection and colours of the flames danced along her face.
Jeff looked at her "Feeling better?" he asked.
She met his eyes and shrugged her shoulders. Then she stepped forward and hugged him around his waist tightly.
He held her tight to him "I'm sorry" he said almost crying.
"Why are you sorry?" She asked softly.
"Because I couldn't protect you, when it mattered most"
She shook her head slowly. "Please don't blame yourself for this. We're safe now. That's all that matters." She said, pulling back enough to look up at him. "You matter to me." She whispered. ((Brb))
"And you are everything to me and if I lost you I don't know what I would do. I learned that today" he said his eyes moist.((have a fun quiz))
She smiled sadly and took his hands and placed them on either side of her face. "But I'm right here. And I'm all yours." ((That quiz was brutal omg))
"I just was really scared of losing you today" he replied, his heart soared at hearing her say she was all his. He smiled and kissed her forehead."Thanks"
((lol as was my quiz I should have read the chapter lol))
"I-I love you." She whispered, heart beginning to hammer at what she just admitted.
((I shouldn't have missed so much of that class haha))
"I love you too" he replied back knowing it that was exactly how he felt for her.
She looked up at him with a wide smile and tears in her eyes.
