Lucy smiled and leaned against his, holding her cane on the ground. "You look good." She said, looking up at him.

"You look more than good" he replied and pulled her closer to him, and scanned the crowd.
She wrapped her arms around his waist just as Marie came skipping up to them, holding out to plates with roast beef, bread and potatoes.
Jeff took a plate from her "Thank you" he said smiling at her.
Lucy stepped aside from Jeff and took her plate and a fork for both Jeff and herself. Marie tilted her head to the side. "Are you two married?"
Jeff laughed and shook his head "No" then he wondered if it was a bad thing to let anyone here know that Lucy was not his wife.
Lucy giggled and handed Jeff his fork. "No sweetie, we're not."Marie shrugged and looked back at a man around Jeff and Lucy's age and shook her head at him.
Jeff followed the girls gaze and he memorized the man for later reference.
The man smiled at Lucy briefly then turned his attention to his food. Marie ran over to him.Lucy nibbled on her food.
Jeff ate his food . He thought about why they had come here and what they should do next.
Lucy handed off her empty plate to a women who was coming around and collecting dirty plates. She then frowned and looked up at Jeff.
Jeff also handed his plate over, still he was deep in thought. Why would these people want them here?
She nudged him with her elbow. "Jeff, want to know what I just realized?" She whispered.
He looked at her "What is that?" he asked worried.
"I'll have to sleep here." She said, hoping he'll understand what she meant, night terrors.
He nodded his head "Is that a bad thing?"
"I don't want to wake up screaming." She said softly, sighing deeply.
He nodded "I don't want you to either,is there anything that helps?"
He looked "Really?" he asked surprised. "I will be right here then".
"We have separate tents though." She said softly
"I know" he said "but who says we have to stay in them?"
She grinned. "I'll sneak to yours, okay?"
"Deal" he replied his heart hammering in his chest. He gave her and a squeeze then let it go.
A group of people came out and set up some instruments and began to play.
Jeff watched and smiled still standing close to Lucy.
The man from earlier came up to Lucy and offered his hand. "May I have this dance?" Lucy inhaled and looked over at jeff
Jeff's jaw tightened but he nodded his head that it would be okay, at least he hoped it would be okay.
"Yes." Lucy nodded and took his hand, letting him take her way into the small crowd.
Jeff watched them very closely. he wouldn't hesitate to start a fight here even if he was a stranger here.
She found out his name was Mark as they danced, he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close. Lucy was hesitant but they were only just dancing, right?
Jeff didn't notice how close they were and he wondered if he should cut in.
Lucy looked around for Jeff, wanting him to cut in.
He walked out to the dancing couple and taped Mark on the shoulder "May I cut in?" he asked smiling.
They stopped swaying and Lucy immediately dropped her arms.Mark was hesitant at first. "Of course." He bowed and kissed Lucy's hand.
Jeff scowled at the kiss but then he moved it close to Lucy and wrapped his arms around her waist.
She sighed with relief and held onto his shoulders. "I thought I was going to pass out." She joked.
"Pass out? Why?" he asked a little worried again.
"I was holding my breath. He smells bad," she laughed
He laughed too. "And i don't smell bad?"
"You smell good." She smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"As do you" he replied and moved a little closer to her.
She giggled and looked up at him with sparking blue eyes.
He smiled and let his hands slide a little lower on her body.
She froze a little but stepped even closer. "You know, I feel like we'll get in trouble." She grinned.
"Get in trouble for what?" he asked his mind on her.
"Ahhh" he said "What do you think they will do to us?"
"Burn us at the stake." She joked with a grin.
