He sat next to her as he scanned the edge of the trees.

She flattened out her dress and fished the key out of her pocket.
He sighed and looked around the small cabin.
"Just thinking we might be safe here fr a few days"
"That's good." She sighed, twirling the key around.
He nodded and reached for her hand.
She snagged his hand and intertwined their fingers.
"I think they may have moved on" he said holding her hand tight.
"Can you tell me what you dreamt of now?" She asked softly
He sighed "Just you and me" he said his voice trailing off.
"and?" She giggled, nudging his shoulder with hers
He shook his head "just here in this cabin together"
"I know you're not telling the full dream." She teased.
He looked at his hands "No I guess I'm not" he said looking at her.
She slid an around around his shoulders. "You can tell me. I won't judge."
He sighed "I am not sure I should tell you" he said his whole body warming to her touch.
"No it was not bad at least not in my mind" he replied
"We were together, like husband and wife" he said with a sigh.
"Like....making love?" She asked, biting her lip nervously.
He nodded and looked away form her his face red.
She smiled and took his face in her hands, turning his head to look at her. "Hey, it's okay."
He shook his head "No its not" he mumbled.
He shrugged his shoulders "I am not sure just a new thought for me is all"
She nodded in understanding, running her thumbs up and down his cheeks. ((I gotta go to sleep, will you be on tomorrow?))
He smiled and pulled her close.((yes early morning, Goodnight))
She wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly.((Mmmkay, I might be awake then lol))
He held her close enjoying the feeling of having her so close.((okay until then))
"Maybe that will come true one day." She whispered
He looked at her not sure if she had said that or if it had just been all in his head.
He smiled and moved away from her getting ready to stand.
She watched him move just as the sound of a horse trotting boomed in the distance.
He looked at her then out up the path wondering who it could be. He reached for the pistol tucked in his waist band.
Lucy stood up abruptly and stood half-behind Jeff. She squinted her eyes at the figure approaching on a brown horse. "I think I know him..." Lucy whispered.
"Who is he" Jeff asked worried at what was going to happen and if he would have to kill this man.
"It's Ben. He helped me at the camp." Lucy whispered when he trotted a stop a few comfortable feet in front of them. "I mean to harm." He said, putting up his hands in surrender.
Jeff relaxed a little but only lowered the weapon a little. "What do you want?" Jeff asked his eyes weary and his body tense ready for anything.
"I want to take her back to the camp. It's not safe for her out here." Ben said, his gaze flickering over to Lucy. Lucy stepped out from behind Jeff a little.
Jeff shook his head "That is not happening" he replied as he raised the pistol again.
"Don't shoot! Please. Let me explain." Ben said frantically.
"Alright, spit it out then be on your way" Jeff replied not lowering his weapon.
"The camp she was brought to wasn't a threat. We're a camp that helps people like her. Protects people like her. We're short on numbers but we're all nice people. You can even come too." He nodded a Jeff. "We have food, clothes and even a river with a waterfall to bathe in. I know you need those things."
"And how can we be sure you are telling the truth, and what do you mean people like her?" he asked nodding his head toward Lucy.
Ben looked around as if looking for someone. "I can't tell you that here. It's needs to be in coincidence." He said.
