Lucy changed Caroline, softly singing to her.

Jeff climbed the stairs his body ready for a good nights rest.
Lucy was cuddling Caroline to her chest, rubbing her small back and rocking from side to side.
Jeff was taking off his clothes as he was walking into the room.
"I still i yet to pack our clothes." She whispered
" we can do that tomorrow and leave a little later"
"Okay. I'm sorry, I just got distracted." She sighed.
" It's not a big deal lover" he said stretching and yawning.
" You are not my lover?" He asked grinning at her.
"I am." She laughed quietly. "But that's usually what you'd call me if we weren't betrothed."
" ohhhh so many rules I can't keep track of them"
Lucy scoffed and rolled her eyes like she did earlier.
Jeff laughed " perhaps that should be against the rules too"
"And who makes the rules?" Lucy asked, laying Caroline in her crib.
" Well I don't know them so not me"
Lucy shrugged and stared down at Caroline lovingly.
Jeff watched her as he finished getting ready for bed.
Reluctantly she stepped away from the crib and started to undress.
She dropped all of her clothes on the floor and pulled on her nightgown.
He sighed and smiled thinking he would never tire of watching her.
Lucy undid her hair and combed her fingers through the long length.
Jeff still watched her from the bed his eyes beginning to droop.
Once satisfied with her hair, and reached under the bed and pulled out a suitcase. She opened it up on her dressing table.
"Can't that wait until later" Jeff mumbled.
"Yes, I'm just setting it up." She replied
She nodded and blew out the light and padded over to their bed, pulling back the covers.
He lifted his arm for her to slide in under.
She slid in beside him and cuddled up against him, pulling the covers over them.
He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her in close.
She snuggled her face into his chest and sighed softly.
"I love you too" he replied and gave her a tight squeeze.
She kissed under his chin and closed her eyes.
He drifited off to sleep holding her.
When the sun came up, she was still laying peacefully on top of him.
He stretched a little as his eyes opened.
She shifted a little but didn't wake.
He smiled and just looked at her for a minute.
She woke up a few minutes later, softly moaning tiredly and rubbing her face in his chest.
He chuckled "Ready to get up sleepy head"
He laughed "come on" he said patting her bum "Time to get up"
She wiggled her bum and whined again.
