"I look at it like a curse." She muttered, lacing up her corset.
He looked at her " I love you" he said and sat on the bed.
"I love you to." She replied quietly.
"Jeff stood and walked over to her.
She buttoned up her blouse and avoided looking at him.
He hugged her from behind and kissed the top of her head.
Lucy sighed and leaned back against him, closing her eyes as he kissed her head.
He kissed her head again. " then can I call it what I want?"
"Well, I can't stop you." She sighed.
She smiled a little and turned around in his arms.
He kissed her on the lips " It's going to be okay"
Lucy nodded and kissed him again lightly.
He patted her on the bum and moved to look out the window.
Lucy giggled and sighed when Caroline started to cry.
He looked over the yard to the trees and sighed.
Lucy scooped up Caroline and hugged her to her chest, rubbing her back slowly. "Shh baby girl it's okay."
"I will miss this place" He admitted.
"Do you think we can ever come back?" She asked, cradling Caroline.
"I hope so" Jeff replied looking back at her.
Lucy nodded and walked up to him by the window. Caroline sniffed and reached out to her father.
He took Caroline and held her tight.
Lucy smiled at them and rubbed his back. "I'll go make some dinner, okay?"
"Change her for me please." Lucy smiled and tapped his bum before leaving the room.
"What? Hey!" he called after her then sighed and got the things to change the baby.
Lucy laughed as she trotted downstairs into the kitchen and prepared the ingredients for dinner.
He shook his head and cooed at Caroline.
Lucy lit the stove and sat a pot of water on top to boil.Caroline squealed and kicked her legs around.
Jeff finished with the diaper and scooped up Caroline and took her downstairs.
Lucy had her sleeves rolled up to her elbows as she stirred a pot of noodles over the stove.
Jeff kissed Lucy and sat down with Caroline on his lap.
Lucy smiled and continued to cook, checking the rolls in the oven.
Jeff played with Caroline and bounced her on his knee.
"She's getting big." Lucy said as she cut up some vegetables.
Lucy smiled and wrapped a cloth around her hand and took out the rolls.Caroline looked up at her father and clawed playfully at his mouth.
Jeff blew raspberries to make her laugh.
Lucy took out plates for them and heated a plan on the stove, then scattered the cut up vegetables on the pan.Caroline giggling and blew bubbles.
