"Do...do they know about me?" She whispered, holding a hand over her heart. It'd be a disaster if the town knew about her power.

"No of course not, they do know it was strange how we got together and how yours and my family disappeared."
"Yeah...that makes sense." She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "We're always the local gossip, aren't we?"
Jeff shrugged " I don't think we always are but perhaps we are a lot"
"I don't like people talking about me. It's easier him my father to find me." She sniffed.
" Even more reason for us to be on the move"
"I don't want to talk about it tonight." She shook her head.
Jeff threw up his hands " fine have it your way" he turned and walked back up the stairs.
"Baby..." She stepped back and whimpered. "Please don't leave me."
" I am not going anywhere without you" he replied
"Then don't walk away from me. I just meant that I don't want to talk about it tonight. I never said I didn't want to at all. It's late and I'm tired." She said.
"So let's go to bed" he replied looking up the stairs to their room.
"Carry me?" She asked cutely, smiling a little.
He smiled and moved toward her sweeping her up in his arms.
She smiled and snuggled close to him, resting her head on his chest.

She sat up on the bed and laid out the blankets she carried with her.
He watched her as she made the bed and he checked the baby.
Lucy snuggled up against the bed, sighing tiredly. Caroline was sleeping peacefully.
Jeff crawled in bed next to her and kissed her cheek.
She draped the blankets over them and smiled, turning her head and kissing his lips.
Jeff sighed and kissed her lips savoring their softness.
Lucy broke the kiss a moment later and rolled onto her side.
Jeff cuddled her and tried to fall asleep.
She kissed his cheek and slowly fell asleep.
Jeff held her tight as he drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, lucy was still asleep beside him. She was laying on her stomach and the covers were wrapped around her waist, leaving her back bare.
Jeff woke and rubbed her back then covered her with a blanket as he got up to do chores.
Caroline www awake, sitting up in her crib.
Jeff smiled at her " keep quiet " he said to her giving her a wink.
The little one hiccuped, on the verge of tears because of her soiled diaper.
Jeff picked her up and took her to change her diaper.
Lucy shifted under the sheets, sighing softly.
Jeff finished pinning the new diaper on Caroline.
Caroline made cute noises and kicked her legs. Lucy blinked her eyes open and yawned.
Jeff tickled her feet to make her giggle.
Caroline squealed gleefully and curled up into a ball. Lucy giggled and sat up. "Good morning."
Jeff looked at her and smiled "good morning"
Lucy smiled and rubbed her face before standing up, the blankets falling off her naked body.
Jeff smiled and whistled "looking very good this morning".
Lucy blushed and sauntered over to the dresser and pulled out some clothes. "Oh you shush," she giggled.
" why bother with those?" He asked teasing.
"Because I'm not going to care for our child naked." She laughed. "Nor will I go to town like this either." She said, pulling on undergarments over her hips.
" we're going to town today?" Jeff asked raising his eyebrows.
"I'd like to, if that's okay." She nodded, slipping her underdress over her head and pulling it down.
"Well I would rather you stay home naked but I guess going to town is okay"
Lucy laughed and shook her head, picking up her corset. "Help me with this please?" She asked, holding it to her chest and turning her back to him.
