This is historical fiction. I read it at least a year ago.. anywhere between 2015-2017. It was a more recent book (published after 2005 i would guess). All i remember is it focuses in part on a woman who helps make masks that replicate or (eyes?) the other side of the wounded soldier’s face so that they can live normal lives. I read a lot of Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Kristen Hannah but from what I remember it’s not one of theirs. Please comment anything you can think of. Thanks!
