New Members: Introduce yourselves here

No surprises that medicine is controlled by Big-Pharma, and Agribusiness. And Biomedical research awash with corruption. Not conspiracy ...sadly just fact. Look forward to sharing. Kevin

Thank You Lance!!

Hey Kevin (and Flavia) and welcome aboard. Your comments on Big Pharma and the way modern medicine is going will be especially welcomed.

I am Alan, want to make money, save money and multiply money?
Then go get Talk Your Way To Riches http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W... the best of all is that, it is on *Kindle Unlimited* go get it and u won't regret. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W...
Thanks.

My pet hate is the overuse of antidepressants and antipsychotics, (and sometimes they are useful) BUT modern medicine ignores the Heart (Emotions) and denies the Spirit (Consciousness). Reiki is out and transcranial magnetism is in. Nutrition hardly cracks a mention...BUT inflammation is very much part of the problem. Well documented case of a man with chronic Schizophrenia cured on a Gluten free diet...(Whoops.... don't look to hard at that...might be too easy.

Thanks Kevin. This better suited to our Medical discussion thread.

My name is Martin Roy Hill. I am an author of mystery, thriller, sci-fi, and alternate history novels and short stories, as well as someone with an interest in "fringe" science (crypto-zoology, paranormal, UFO). Some of the latter inspires my writing, such as my latest book, Eden, and my Kindle Short, Hitler Is Coming.

Welcome aboard, Martin. The subject matter of your books will appeal to many fellow Undergrounders I'm sure.
Hi everyone!
I'm Mireia, I'm from Barcelona (so excuse me if my english is not perfect).
I've always had a special interest for paranormal phenomena, mysteries of the world, in general all those things that no one really knows the answer to. I like the idea of uncertainty and I enjoy letting my imagination play around with all these mysteries but I always assume and accept that we really don't know anything for sure, that's why I'm very open minded to new theories.
I've recently been introduced to lucid dreaming and I became very interested in this topic, especially after having experienced myself and realizing that it wasn't only science fiction, as it seemed to me at first. This lead me to reflect about the mystery of consciousness in general, and I've recently also learned a little bit about quantum mechanics. I find it so mind-blowing and interesting, I really want to know more about it.
That's why I wanted to ask if anyone knows a book that explores this field, but bear in mind that I'm not a science student and my knowledge in mathematics is pretty basic so I don't want to find myself lost in complicated mathematical language or equations. So I'm basically looking for a "quantum physics for everyone" kind of book. Does anyone have any reference?
I'll be happy to receive any other suggestion of books that cover any of the things I've mentioned in this post or similar.
Thanks!!

Hi, Kishi :)
A big Orwell fan I see. Happy Sunday!

Hi, my name is Nishan and I am new to Goodreads. I am a new and upcoming author...okay - maybe not 'upcoming', but I'm trying hard to be :-) Some of my friends consider me a 'conspiracy theorist'; however, I strongly believe that most truths are buried in lies and hypocrisy 'sold' to us on a daily basis.
There are too many unexplained paths which lead to what's really happening 'behind the curtain' and I, for one choose to tackle those events head on. I believe we, as a people have been conditioned to 'follow the status quo' and not question what is right in front of our faces.
We're too involved in our day-to-day lives and burdened with problems; so much so that we turn a blind eye to what's hidden behind the lies perpetuated by the media. From day one, my goal was to expose my findings in a work of 'fiction' and this is why I wrote my book.
Anyway, enough of my rambling. A pleasure to meet all of you and I hope to gain a deeper understanding of what this group is all about. Thanks! http://www.thebrandnovel.com

Welcome Nishan. It appears you will have much to contribute to this group.

You're welcome Maureen. Your thoughts on meditation and manifestation especially will be well received by fellow Undergrounders I'm sure.

I'm new to the group, and have been interested in underground knowledge since I first saw the Zapruder film in the 70s. I intend to dive deeper into a number of group subjects as background for my new trilogy The Urban Legion (Book 1 was just released).
But I'd like to ask James and Lance if this book is actually appropriate for the group--it's a comic thriller, referencing familiar conspiracy theories and urban legends as all true, but often with some comic twist, and inventing a new conspiracy that's behind everyday phenomena like traffic jams, automatic flush sensors, and sharp plastic packaging. It's kind of like how Men in Black presented aliens: matter-of-fact but funny. (The cover has a paranoid alligator emerging from a sewer, sporting a tin-foil hat.)
I know everyone here is pretty sensitive about being taken seriously--is there room for a novel that's obviously not meant to be taken seriously? I hope so--the members of this group are probably the only ones who will get all the jokes!

Welcome Dave. To answer your question - your book is certainly appropriate. There's always room for humor in his group. Just take a look at our Dino thread... https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... - (If we never hear from you again, I'll understand)!

Thanks Chris and welcome.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Andreas Laurencius and I'm the author of the new book Genesis, which I think fit this group's interest.
Genesis
For the first time in history, the truth is out.
This book reveals to you the truth about Creation and the fabric of the universe, which up until now had been kept secret from mankind.
This book solves the enigmas that have perplexed even the greatest thinkers of the world throughout the ages: what is soul, what is human, what happens after we die, what law governs the universe.
From personal spiritual awakening to the grand design of the world's systems, from love stories to the realm of quantum physics, this book carries you through time, from the moment of Creation to the future, where the hidden-but-now-revealed truth holds.
If Jesus Christ was the one we read in the bible, he couldn't possibly be the Son of God. If Muhammad was the one we read in the Quran, he couldn't possibly be the Messenger of God. If Buddha thought and acted the way we know from the many books, he hadn't developed the true awareness. If Hindu's Gods liked to war the way we read in many books, then their existence is questionable. Why? It's simple, because the stories we read about them showed that they didn't know.
Genesis, on the other hand, knows.

I would also be honored if anyone in this group is willing to read my book.

You are welcome Andreas. Your book sounds interesting. Do let us know what Stanford Uni's feedback is...

Done.

Welcome Tammi. I suspect you'll find a number of discussion threads of interest to you in this fast-growing group. And I agree "conspiracy theory" is an oft-misused term. Oftentimes "conspiracy fact" would be more appropriate.

You can assist simply by contributing to discussions and helping keep us on the straight and narrow...if possible! (Others have tried and failed). Thanks.

Good to see you here Tammi!!!
You are a remarkable lady, keep up your good work!!

I'm new to Goodreads and have just finished a book that may interest your group. It's called Teaching Bullies: Zero Tolerance on the Court or in the Classroom and I make the controversial point that bullying among kids won't stop because it is taught at school or in sports by some teachers and coaches. I draw on contemporary neuroscience in one chapter to make my case for how harmful adult "bullying" is. Thanks, Jennifer
