Anuj Singh | 1 comments Hey, I’m Anuj Singh, a litigation lawyer practicing at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh. I thrive in the courtroom, where strategy and intellect shape the outcome of cases. My work revolves around protecting rights, solving complex legal challenges, and ensuring justice—but outside of court, I’m just as passionate about exploring new perspectives and meaningful conversations.

I have a curious mind and a love for non-fiction books, constantly diving into topics that expand my worldview. Whether it’s law, psychology, or philosophy, I enjoy unraveling the deeper layers of lifeI believe that intelligence mixed with a little mystery is an unbeatable combination—don’t you?

I enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life, not just in the legal field but in any domain where passion and ambition thrive. If you love great conversations, intellectual debates, or just a good story, we already have something in common.

I look forward to connecting with professionals not only in the legal field but also from diverse industries, exchanging insights, and exploring opportunities for meaningful collaborations.

Mr N | 1 comments Hi everyone,
I have just finished writing a book which is modern-day rewriting of Voltaire's Candide, Samuel Johson's Rasselas and Gulliver's Travels. Why? Because when you look at the world around us, it's hard not to put your head in your hands and think how on earth have we got into such a state. Being a satire, it examines the world around us and encourages critical thinking by challenging outdated ideals and questions prevailing norms. I can see from some of the threads here that others would seem to have a similar view of the world, so I'm looking forward to sharing some thoughts. If you are interested, the book is called 'The extraordinary misadventures of Lucius Cholmondeley-Knollys' and it's on Amazon.

Your views on what the latest Trump presidency means for (A) the world and (B) for America in particular would be especially welcome. My view, for what it's worth, is buckle up, folks, we are in for one hell of a ride!

Authors of alternative thinking books are invited to post their books in this group's Alternative Thinking Books thread.

message 1204: by Ashlyn (new)

Ashlyn | 1 comments Hello! My name is Ashlyn. I’m a firm believer that what most folks refer to as “Aliens” are our true creators and the first inhabitants of the planet we are so fortunate to call home, Earth. I would love to find more books pertaining to this belief and which contain any possible evidence. I see “Aliens” the way christians view their god. I’m planning on writing my own version of a bible to someday share with my future children so that they’re able to see two very different versions of beliefs when their father presents them with the bible. I’d also like to create this book to keep track of all of the beliefs from those I deem as credible sources and gather potential evidence. This is something I am very passionate about and I would love to connect with others on this matter!

I am also a very spiritual individual and I’m looking to connect with those to help me elevate my psychic mind, along with connecting with those simply looking to chat about the subject! I love all things science related or spiritual (seems like an oxymoron putting those two in the same sentence haha, but I’m sure there are folks out there who understand!!)

I am new to the app and still learning, so please be patient with me on familiarizing myself with the whole platform

Hey Lance! I teach British English (aka BBC English) at a college, and my students—those chaotic young adults—love stuffing their essays with wild conspiracy theories. Now I’m lowkey obsessed with the underground grapevine, so here I am. 😆

Jeongwoo Lee | 1 comments Hi everyone! I'm Jeongwoo Lee, an author fascinated by the intersection of science, history, and speculative ethics. My writing often explores unconventional ideas—especially how future societies might function under extreme conditions, such as space colonization, AI governance, and alternative justice systems.

Lately, I’ve been diving into the ethical implications of using convict labor in space exploration. History has many examples of forced labor shaping civilizations—could something similar happen as we expand beyond Earth?

I’m looking forward to engaging in discussions that challenge conventional wisdom and explore the hidden forces shaping our world. What’s the most thought-provoking idea you’ve come across recently?

message 1208: by Lawrence (new)

Lawrence Towver | 1 comments Greetings, I’m Lawrence—a retired Navy corpsman turned storyteller—and I’m honored to introduce my debut Kindle Edition, The Warrior’s Code: Rise of the Immortals – A Battle for Kings and Gods (Book 1 of 1 in The Warrior’s Code series).

In this epic historical fantasy, I blend my military experience with a passion for divine storytelling. Before empires and thrones, before the first blade was ever drawn, there was war in the heavens. Araziel, the Morning Star, defies the Almighty, shattering the celestial order in a rebellion that condemns him and his fallen legions to the shadows of history. Their whispers shape the fates of nations, even as the veil between worlds is torn apart.

Within the mighty halls of Persepolis, King Xerxes stands at a crossroads. Although his father, Darius, once conquered nations, Xerxes now seeks something greater—immortality. Tempted by unseen forces, he must decide whether to rule as a man or ascend as a god. Meanwhile, beyond the Aegean Sea, Leonidas of Sparta sharpens his blade. His warriors, sworn to hold the line against Persia, face a threat older and darker than any empire—a force that challenges the very essence of war.

Prophets in distant lands foretell a cosmic struggle, where the fates of kings and nations are written in the stars. This is a battle not for power or conquest, but for the very soul of creation.

For readers who love epic historical fantasy infused with supernatural warfare, legendary battles, and prophetic visions, The Warrior’s Code offers an unforgettable journey. Step into a realm where destiny, rebellion, and divine purpose collide—where the fate of eternity is in your hands.

May this tale inspire you, and may the light of Elohim guide every step of your journey.

Richard Girard | 1 comments Hello everyone,

We are Richard Girard and Geneviève Gagné, authors of a recently published bilingual book, Surviving Canadian Chaos: A Tale of Politics, Propaganda, and Pandemic.

This work explores, through a citizen-driven and rigorously documented perspective, the erosion of democratic principles, the influence of media narratives, and the psychological forces that shape modern societies—both in Canada and beyond.

As political tensions and ideological shifts continue to unfold on both sides of the border, we believe this book could spark a thoughtful group discussion about the deeper forces reshaping our era. We are looking forward to sharing with you!

If it aligns with your interests, we’d be honoured to propose it as a book of the month selection and would gladly engage with anyone interested in discussing its themes.

My dream? To see my books on the Amazon Bestsellers list someday — not just for the title, but to know my words truly reached people 🌟

Ralph Warrens (ralphwarrens) | 1 comments Hi!

I'm Ralph Warrens, and I'm genuinely excited to be joining this community. As a reader, I've always been drawn to books on business, finance, and technology, with a soft spot for sci-fi when I need a break from the real world. My professional background is in AI/Science, but I’ve also been exploring finance/investment in the past 15 years. In recent years, I read a lot of books about the markets, well-known people’s autobiography, technology breakthrough and such to get myself up to date to this fast changing world. I had my own learning curve, navigating all the jargon and volatility. My journey has really been about trying to simplify and understand this space for myself, transforming what felt like a chaotic landscape into something manageable and strategic.

I'm here to connect with fellow readers and enthusiasts, share insights, and learn from all of you. It's fascinating to see what others are reading and discussing.

On that note, I recently channeled my experiences and learnings into my first book, "No-Nonsense Crypto Investing: Tools & Concepts for Beginner Traders." It's designed to be a straightforward, hands-on guide for anyone looking to confidently get started in crypto without the usual intimidation. I hope it can be a helpful resource for some of you.
Looking forward to engaging in discussions here!
Best,
Ralph

Utkrisht Fella (sourabhmathur) | 1 comments Hi everyone!

I'm so excited to be joining this unique group! I've been an avid reader for as long as I can remember, and there's nothing I love more than discussing a good book with fellow enthusiasts. My favorite genres are fantasy, historical fiction and thrillers but I'm truly open to anything with a compelling story and well-developed characters.

I'm really looking forward to discovering new authors, books and perspectives with all of you.

Happy reading!

Michael E Winkler (michaelewinkler) | 1 comments Hi Everyone my name is Michael and I am an American expat living and working in Copenhagen Denmark.

I am interested in economics, geopolitics, global current events, history and often get pulled down rabbit holes specifically on the topic of conspiracies. Otherwise I like books from classics to subjects ranging from Austrian economics, geopolitics, philosophy, neuroscience, artificial intelligence and fringe topics such as Anarcho-capitalism to the "Dark Enlightenment".

While in my free time I particularly enjoy various outdoor activities, I would consider myself a fairly avid reader and really look forward to meeting many of the existing members here!

I have joined this group in the hopes of meeting like-minded or simply interesting people to share book recommendations and ideas.

Hopefully we can learn from one another irrespective of similarities or differences. :-)

Reid Sterling | 2 comments Hello everyone,

My name is Reid, a new member from the UK. I was drawn to this group's focus on "important and underreported issues." I'm particularly interested in how human stories and moral choices get lost in the fog of major geopolitical conflicts.

I'm also a debut author, and my first novel explores some of these themes. I'm looking forward to being part of the discussions here.

message 1223: by Aaron (new)

Aaron | 2 comments Hello everyone,

My name is Aaron. This group seems right up my alley as a good portion of my reading (approx 10 books a month) consists of mostly randomly selected finds be it from Chirp or eBooks from my religious reading list. I'm always into unique books at historic provided they avoid sensationalism and are academic(-leaning).

Three books of note I read and reviewed that probably fit well within this group's focus I read as of late are:

With Freedom in Our Ears: Histories of Jewish Anarchism

A Flower Traveled in My Blood: The Incredible True Story of the Grandmothers Who Fought to Find a Stolen Generation of Children

The Pope and the Heretic: The True Story of Giordano Bruno, the Man Who Dared to Defy the Roman Inquisition

Soren Blackwood | 31 comments Hello Lance, and to all the members of this fantastic group.

My name is Soren K. Blackwood, and I'm a new author. I was drawn to this community because my worldview aligns so closely with the conversations happening here.

I believe that our most ancient and sacred myths are not just stories, but a distorted memory of a lost science. My conviction is that the evidence for this isn't only in the impossible engineering of megalithic sites around the globe, but is also encoded in the very fabric of our DNA, waiting to be rediscovered.

This philosophy is the foundation of my work. I've channeled years of research into this "underground knowledge" into my debut sci-fi thriller, The Sentinel Project. It's a fictional exploration of these very ideas—a "what if" scenario that attempts to connect the dots between quantum physics, genetic memory, and the true purpose of sites like the Giza pyramids.

I'm here to learn from the incredible insights shared in this group and to be a part of this vital conversation. Thank you for creating such a great space for these big questions.

TheChessTiger | 1 comments Hello! I’m a person looking to acquire knowledge of the state of the world as it is today. Political, environmental, economic, yada yada. I believe that the world is in this state because of us humans. Not all of us, just some. My goal is to fix that in the distant future. I joined this group because I heard that it discusses current events and the impact they cause. Thanks for having me!
