Daniel | 2 comments Just saw my invite and decided to have a look around. I have read the Orphan Trilogy and loved them. If they were based on truth, it wouldn't surprise me. Many people say that those who believe in conspiracy theories have tinfoil hates. But that reminds me of a line from one of Olen Steinhauer's Tourist series (can't remember which one) where it was stated that "if someone can come up with a conspiracy theory, someone else has already tried it'. Love that line. Or watch the movie Parallax View and research the deaths of those who witnessed Kennedy's assassination.

What I tend to say in response to those who doubt conspiracies. If there were no conspiracies, why would the government create the RICO act?

Again, thanks for the invite.

Thanks for your comments Daniel. Glad you enjoyed our trilogy. All of most of the conspiracy theories touched on in that series are explored in depth in our non-fiction book The Orphan Conspiracies. In it, we make a distiction between 'ordinary' conspiracy theorists and the Tinfoil Hat variety...or Tinfoil Hatters as we call them.

Welcome Sadashivan! -Your site devoted to the worldwide child labor crisis should be compulsory viewing for all. http://www.sadashivan.com/

One comment caught my eye… There are an estimated 200-300 million child workers globally !!! (That is surely a blight on humanity).

We address this in The Orphan Conspiracies under ‘Bankrupting the Third World.’ Here’s a blog we did regarding it… http://morcanbooksandfilms.com/2014/0...

I do hope you share more of your info/knowledge with us going forward.

I mainly like to read history and biography, but also some fiction, and I'm beginning to get into speculative fiction a bit too. Lauren Bradshaw | 2 comments Hello! I'm new to the group. I'm Lauren and i'm currently studying (nearly finished!) 2 degrees - a bachelor of nursing and a bachelor of criminology and criminal justice. I love this group already! I am very open minded and love discussing the various aspects of the goings-on in the world today. Especially government cover ups. I have written a book - its been published for just under a month now - called Daddy's Girl and its a crime thriller. I look forward to speaking with you all :)

message 86: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimliedeka) I joined this group a couple of weeks ago but this is my first post. I'm interested in conspiracies and revisionist history. I regard myself as a moderately skeptical enthusiast.

I'm aware of the human brain's need to make order out of chaos which leads us to seek conspiracies to explain events. That doesn't mean I think conspiracies don't happen. They do, every day. I just try not to jump to conclusions.

We'll probably never know the whole truth about JFK. It happened before I was born and most of the people involved are dead. I strongly suspect Oswald either didn't act alone or wasn't involved at all until the end. I plan on doing more research here.

I also think we don't know the whole story about Oklahoma City and the September 11, 2001 attack. I strongly suspect Cheney and Rumsfeld as the brains behind the latter but I could be wrong about that.

I don't think everything is a deliberate conspiracy. People are dumb and violent and crazy sometimes. You don't need a government mind control program for that.
