Hi everyone,
My name is Al Hague and I just had my first novel published. A Marines Daughter is about the relationship between a daughter and father as they go through the process of his healing from the Viet Nam war. It is a historical novel with a message for Vets and the families and those that love and care about the Vets of the war so long ago. Healing is a process and as a Viet Nam veteran in the Marine Corp 1965-1966, I have written this novel with the hope of helping start that process for others. The reviews so far have been amazing and clearly, the message is being understood. My website is www.amarinesdaughter.com and the book is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and my favorite review is here on Goodreads. I look forward to joining in discussions with this group. I am also busy writing the sequel to this first edition.
Any questions may also be directed to be at my email found on the website.

I live alone, but in a retirement community that is supported by a local church (but I'm not affiliated with the Baptist Church--I'm Catholic.) message 912: by AlBaraa (new)

AlBaraa Hani | 2 comments I decided to live alone in the desert with a flock of 164 sheep, just to learn the relationship between leadership and shepherding.
First advice was to be aware of death, yet I continued. In the desert you have only one option, to survive.
Imagine you had only one option in life, to succeed. What would your brain do?

I am AlBaraa Taibah, author of The Modern Shepherd.

Welcome AlBarra. Good to know you survived your experience - and good to see you added your book to our Alternative Thinking Books thread.

I found the book's synopsis intriguing so am taking the liberty of posting it here for the interest of fellow Undergrounders...

"There is no prophet who has not tended sheep. So goes a famous phrase in Islamic scripture, words that had long intrigued young MBA student AlBaraa Taibah. How does shepherding awaken one's wisdom? Empower one's leadership skills? Build one's character? Why was shepherding the starting point for great leaders like Mohammed, Moses and Abraham? There must be a reason and lessons in shepherding to take away, he reasoned.

"So AlBaraa made the decision to become a modern-day shepherd, to spend ten days alone with a herd of sheep in the Sahara Desert, attempting to learn what the scripture was talking about. Confronting the dangers of desert snakes, getting hopelessly lost in the dunes, and suffering from dehydration, on the first day he asks himself, 'Why didn't I just take that leadership course back in Boston?'

"What transpires is an adventure, a journey into consciousness, that is as poetic and funny as it is profound. The Modern Shepherd is a journal of personal discovery and a leadership textbook unlike any other. Learn and laugh with AlBaraa as he acquires the secret of being an effective leader from a stubborn flock of sheep."

message 914: by Alex (new)

Alex Grant (goodreadsgranta1) | 8 comments Hi, my name is Alex. This site seems just up my alley. With corporate media in this country controlling 90% of the news and information that we see, this site is refreshing and necessary.

I wrote a book on CRISPR, the genetic engineering technology. It is a hard science fiction thriller with real science and a compelling story. It deals with corporate corruption, global elites, crooked banks and international actors (including those who are currently performing serious research in the area) who want to use the incredible power of CRISPR for their own ends.

I advise everyone to google or otherwise research CRISPR because it is a game changer for the human race. It so fascinated me that I researched CRISPR and then self-published a novel about it on Amazon. It's called "ReEvolution, a crispr novel."

CRISPR can delete or add genes by cutting and replacing them. It can also turn genes on and off in a highly targeted way, can be used in all plants and animals (including humans), has already been used to change DNA to strengthen plants, cure genetic diseases in mammals and was used to increase muscle mass in dogs. It has the potential to alter a human's appearance, athletic ability and intelligence. The woman who invented CRISPR wrote a book called "A Crack in Creation," a worthwhile read. Keep your eye on the bouncing ball, because it is not overhyped - it is real and a little scary. It is also easy and inexpensive to do.

It is also timely. A Chinese scientist recently applied the science to embryo twins with CRISPR and he published his findings on YouTube. The U.S. Congress recently passed a law making it illegal for people to use CRISPR technology on themselves. for a short time there were a number of media reports about CRISPR, but coverage seems to have dropped off.

I wrote the book so people can get an idea of the potential of CRISPR, and its possible abuse, in an entertaining and easy to read format.

If you are interested, I also set up a web page: alexgrantbooks.com.

Thanks for setting up this site.

I started watching the chemtrails or geoengineering in 2010 and, for the life of me, can't understand how others don't see it or know they are altering the weather patterns as well as blocking the sun. The Enmod Treaty is also further evidence that governments and the military industrial complex have had the technology to modify our environment to at least back in the 60s -- probably further back than that. I don't talk to many people because I wear my tin foil hat daily.

It's about reading books...I recently have not time to read my books which I had on purpose bought to read cuz I love them-But nowadays on this digitalized century, time, day....everything is...ah...I get upset because I can't find time in my day, days to read. Does somebody has the same issue or does it understand it? Any Help is welcome.

My YA fantasy novel, Arcamira, is coming out in March 2020 from Cosmic Egg Books (http://bit.ly/2OMlI9Z). It’s a fantasy-paranormal crossover wherein classic high fantasy species like elves, fairies, and griffins face off paranormal monsters like vampires and werewolves. Some of my all-time favorite authors are Stephen King and Cassandra Clare, and a new favorite is Stuart Turton. If we’re talking poetry, I’m all about Poe. Some tidbits about me: I’m the mother of a wild toddler, I own the sassiest corgi known to man, I married my high school sweetheart, and I identify heavily with Hermione Granger.

message 926: by Master (new)

Master Yeshua Our Peace & Love to All. It is a blessing to be with you!

Thank you James & Lance for creating and manifesting such an inclusive group of seekers, and being such excellent, non-judgmental moderators! May this Underground Knowledge Garden Group blossom & bloom a thousandfold.

The world view of my messengers and myself is beyond the confines of organized or dogmatic religious beliefs. Our FAITH is in the process of SPIRITUALITY: seeking for truth and discovering it; knocking on doors and if invited, entering to explore therein; asking for answers and reflecting upon the responses; and ultimately knowing the TRUTH and becoming FREE from all limitations of ignorance of the little self (– ego – I – me -mine –) and BEING the TRUE SELF that we truly ARE.
This is the combined LIGHT of our experiences, that we offer and share without preaching to anyone, who chooses to expand the LIGHT within themselves: So that the collective radiance becomes so brilliant that the darkness of all conspiracies of ignorance, that always labor to entrap, are dispelled by the INTERNAL LIGHT of TRUTH in each of us, through the personal, empirical experiences bestowed by our efforts and by grace in our never-ending sincere search for TRUTH.

We perceive some very fertile soil here, and many good seeds planted by some beautiful beings in many of the discussions, current and past. The one we would like to shine some LIGHT on, because from our perspective, it is foundational to the understanding of the origin and birth of all the conspiracies now existing: to know the ultimate answer to this POLL: DO YOU BELIEVE IN GOD? … That we found very informative in our present review.
Thank you all for the invitation and the opportunity to share!
Jessaka May 07, 2017 03:02PM
Thank you Jessaka for sharing your divine personal and valid experience from your journey, which validates to some degree what we have shared above, and that our own experiences have proven. Our experience is an expanding journey of Self Realization and Expansion even beyond the idea mentioned:
“I don’t believe that we can know much about God”
Because our experiential view is: the only limitations and ceilings that exist are either self imposed, or other’s imposed that we accept. So, if you choose to continue your exploration, you can change that belief to a knowing, and we sincerely and lovingly encourage the expansion of your LIGHT, for this is THE TRUE DIVINE FIRST INTENT, that we have personally come to know, and are willing to share.

Our offering has been available publicly since 2002, and as explained in the book was privately, freely offered to hundreds of Institutions, but none could accept the offer or read the book, because the book was sealed. The last chapter Alpha & Omega explains the Divine reasons and consequences for this.
If curious, read the first Four Chapters regarding (911 warning, revelations, advice, prophecies) revealed (now unfolding in real time.) The info will provide insights on the “Nature of Conspiracies” mentioned above, that is very pertinent to the ultimate answer of TRUTH about “The Reality of God.” View links to this knowledge (on Goodreads Profile) and current revelations on our website & blog.

If more than curious it is now (freely accessible through Kindle Unlimited)
Please let us know if the book is helpful and beneficial and any questions it may inspire?

If partially curious, we suggest you wait until the FIRST PUBLIC OFFICIAL LAUNCH DATE – “Now that the Time Has Come” – that we are very honored and privileged to announce HERE:

https://www.amazon.com/author/master_... “Yeshua Unveiled Books of Wisdom Prepare”

Kindle Countdown Deal
2020 Vision – X – Crossroad of the Future – Prepare 2 Choose your Destiny
Amazon.com $0.99 KINDLE Countdown from:
Saturday, December 28, 2019, 8:00 AM PST –to-- Saturday, January 4, 2020, 12:00 AM PST

We would like to share: That in our view a curiosity (which is a God quality) is a first step; next step is a Faith or belief; next step is inquiry; all further steps involve investigating, proving /or disproving, and then knowing if a Faith /belief is true or false. The Final Step is Enlightenment & Further Self Expansion and /or Service, if one so chooses.
What does our fellow group researchers think about this concept?

Peace & Love

Heather | 1 comments Hello, I am Heather. Always intrigued with History. I tend to research a great deal on many topics and look outside the box. I am new here, looking forward to learning and understanding more about what I already suspect. I have recently started looking into the growing numbers of Adult children estranging their parents with no reasons given. (Yes, I get abused children never speaking to their parents once they leave home.) I am talking college age and recent college grads (I also know normal phases of development) and the rapid increase of this occurrence. One mother I spoke with from Australia actually located a website where her daughter took courses. I am not surprised possibly brainwashing is occurring. Anyway, that was a bit long but that is how I located this group. I look forward to getting to know you all and expanding on my knowledge.

Hi Heather - Given your interest in history you have found the right group as a few of our Undergrounders are historians or history teachers.

I was interested in your comment on adult children estranging their parents. If I understand you correctly this is occurring not necessarily because of abuse but for other reasons? (You mentioned possible brainwashing). Any further clarification on this, by you or other Undergrounders, would be appreciated. Thanks!

Second was "Government for a New Age", self-published two weeks ago (January 2020). Both are available from Amazon as printed books and from Kindle and other on-line sellers as ebooks. They offer a very different look at the subjects of rights and design of government and are not politically correct. The first book has been ignored so far altho it defines true human rights.

Michael Kanaan (michaelkanaan) | 1 comments What a wonderful community to discover! I hope you are all healthy and hibernating safely in this trying time.

My name is Mike Kanaan and I am the author of the forthcoming book "T-Minus AI: Humanity's Countdown to Artificial Intelligence and the New Pursuit of Global Power" https://www.amazon.com/T-Minus-Humani...

Despite everything at stake, for most of us AI remains shrouded by a cloud of mystery and misunderstanding. Hidden behind complex technical terms and confused even further by extravagant depictions in science fiction, the realities of AI and its profound implications are hard to decipher, but still crucial to understand.

Currently endorsed by Eric Schmidt, Adam Grant, Nobel Peace prize winner Muhammad Yunus, physicist & NYT bestselling author Sean Carroll, Super Bowl MVP Joe Montana, national teacher of the year Jeff Charbonneau, and other personal inspirations, I wrote "T-Minus AI" to explain AI from a human-oriented perspective we can all fully grasp and what each of us should know about modern computing, AI, machine learning, and its global implications.

I do hope that you add it to your various shelves and look forward to hearing and discussing each of your thoughts upon its release :)

With gratitude,
Mike

James, thank you for inviting me to the group!

I am a new author here with 'goodreads' and so please bear with me as I learn how things are done here.

The issue I'd like to discuss is 'Domestic Violence'. Why? For many reasons that I won't get into right now. However, DV has always been a WORLDWIDE problem and now with this shutdown - it has gotten worse. Will it ever end? Probably not, but minimizing the number of cases is my aim and I am doing it via my novel VM5: Nothing But The Truth.

Too many families are being destroyed, torn apart, are psychologically unhealthy etc., and it sickens me to my stomach!!!

Change is Definitely needed!

Be well & Be Safe! ~Nichole Martin
