Roberta Franklin (goodreadscomroberta_franklin) | 1 comments Hello, and thank you very much for inviting me to this great group!
I'm Roberta, I write adventure romance novels; I've already published this one:
The Professor and the Bird by Roberta Franklin
and I just finished the sequel.
I'm also very interested in history, though - from the Neolithic to the 20th Century.

Jacqueline Evans (nostradame) | 1 comments Hi everyone, I am currently writing my second non-fiction book about my life as an extreme sensitive - by that I don't mean I am easily offended. On the contrary, I have grown a thick skin on my journey. Back in the nineties, following a near-death experience, my sixth-sense went through the roof; eventually leading me to predict global events and serious crimes, long before they happened. Please don't confuse me with a tarot-reading, crystal ball gazer that speaks to dead people. It really is nothing like that, I am down-to-earth, honest and glad to be a part of this group!

message 706: by Paula (new)

Paula Odd (stormrose) | 1 comments Hi everyone, I'm Paula.

I tripped across this group after seeing it mentioned on Adam Wilson's page (hope nobody minds a gatecrasher). Adam's 'Genesis' book blurb really caught me out, as it was exactly how my mother had described to me in a conversation some...I don't know, maybe 10 years or so ago (maybe more) now? My mother had mentioned watching a TV programme late at night and the subject matter really intrigued me, enough so that I spent a few years trying to research into the subject and/or the programme itself and Nada, it was like it never even existed. So yes...reading the blurb for Adam's book felt very strange.

I have always been fascinated from a very young age by various conspiracy theories (not a tin hatter though, I hasten to add!), the search for truth and scientific advances, as well as the paranormal in general. In short, this group addresses a lot of what I'm interested in, I'm curious about most subjects and retain an open mind.

I tend to stay out of debates unless I feel I have something to say (I've invited my husband Chris to join the group as well, as he is very like minded but is far more likely to jump in on the debates than I am), although I will enjoy reading everyone's opinions. I enjoy reading and writing (I haven't read the 'Orphan Conspiracies' or Adam's 'Breaking Mirrors' Trilogy yet but they are all on my ever growing list.

Hello everyone, I’m Olwen, I live on the Wirral Peninsular, near Liverpool, UK and I’m a first time author.

Whilst researching the causes, (including environmental factors) of escalating digestive issues and serious health conditions related to reduced bile flow and production caused through liver congestion, such as; gallstones, Non-Alcohol Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), high serum lipids, raised cholesterol, leaky gut syndrome, coronary heart disease, liver cancer, autism, depression and many more. I discovered through deep research on this issue, ethical concerns of GM food, and the biochemical correlation between GM foods the glyphosate sprayed on them and these illnesses.
And, when I discovered that one person’s blood test revealed their DNA was more vegetable, than human, I have to question if this is the hidden agenda of genetically modified food?
I am beginning to believe we are being culled through our food or genetically altered to become a vegetable based – easy to manage, mindless, workforce?
Anyone else researched these issues?
Thanks
Olwen

Renee Topper | 1 comments Hi All,

I'm glad to have found this group. Some of your topics are core to my works and I'm keen to witness and participate in discussions here.

My debut novel is a thriller that dives deep into the exploration of surface issues including colorism, racism, human trafficking, First World vs. Third World, the corporatocracy and more, aiming to identify root causes and spread awareness in the hope of helping motivate and inspire solutions. Pigment: The Limbs of the Mukuyu Tree I apply the psychoanalytic term and definition Dissociation to the divisions in play -- people not recognizing their connections. The title surface issue in PIGMENT is colorism in direct relation to the plight of albinos in Tanzania and surrounding countries.

Julie Barnes Greetings!

I'm Julie Barnes, self-published author, nurse, and hypnotherapist. I've researched conspiracy theories for many years. When I was 22, a high priest in a fundamentalist cult attempted to take over my life using mind control techniques. This account is in my first novel, From the Depths.

I'm finally starting to utilize Goodreads, so my profile is rather bare. Pardon me while I get the hang of it!

I write transcendent fiction, and I'm currently completing the third book in my Foundation Books Trilogy. My novels are in eBook format at the moment, soon to be released in paperback.

My second novel can be read for free via my website: https://www.jbarnesauthor.com/

I'm pleased to have found this interesting group!

Cheers, Jules

Larry Jensen | 2 comments Dear Readers,-----I am pleased to join your discussion group!

Honoring my mother. pen-name is Larimore-san. Blog is "Fading Away In Japan" inspired by General MacArthur. Douglas often said these resonant words, "Old soldiers never die, they just fade away!" Well, not yet departing, I may be slightly fading away. I'll let you, my reader, determine that. My goal is to share some insights of living in Japan and some thoughts as this world turns (often with a tilt) after life for four score and more. My first experience with life was on an eastern Nebraska family farm. Early life endured drought and a national depression but also the fortune of being educated at Blair High School, Northwestern University and Stanford University. Family roots are the San Francisco Bay Area, where children and grandchildren grew to maturity. Currently we live near Tokyo. Proudly continue the family farm. For further insight please read my book, "Hiroshima, on August 6th with Enduring Memory." It centers, while a naval aviator, on my August 6th, 1957 day long visit to Ground Zero and the Peace Park with several young Japanese survivors of the bomb. Author, Jensen-san. Karen Ritchie (karenritchie) | 4 comments Hi, all. I just joined Goodreads. I am happy to find this group, which seems to be along the lines of the way I think. I am a psychiatrist and bioethicist. I just published a book about fixing health care. My main three points are: American health care is a disaster; Congress isn't going to fix it and if they did it would probably be worse; health care reform will have to be crowdsourced. I give some suggestions for how we can start to fix it. Didn't mean for this to be an ad, but I am happy to read that other people have a similar view of health care to mine. Jeff Dupuis | 3 comments Hi, all. I'm the author of Roanoke Ridge: A Creature X Mystery, a murder mystery novel set in the world of cryptozoology. The book was born out of my quest to explore reality from both the standpoint of belief as well as the standpoint of skepticism. Our binary nature has always fascinated me, at once we are both very critical and also yearning to believe in something greater than ourselves or beyond what are senses can recognize.

I look forward to participating in the fascinating discussions within this group.

Jeremy Lent | 1 comments Hi,

I wanted the group to be aware of my book, The Patterning Instinct: A cultural history of humanity's search for meaning.

The Patterning Instinct reveals the hidden foundations of our unsustainable civilization, and offers a potential vision for a more harmonious future.

The book traces the human search for meaning through the lens of cognitive science, from hunter-gatherer times to the rampant consumption of our current civilization. I believe that by identifying the origins of our preconceptions about such things as hierarchy, property, and our relationship with nature, we’re more able to consciously shift our cognitive patterns.

I think group members might find it stimulating and valuable. Please let me know your thoughts on it.

Connie | 2 comments Haha!

We avoid all political discussions, something we used to talk about all the time when Bush43 was prez. He admits he's not happy with Trump (he voted for him because he hates Clinton more) and worries about him getting us into a big war soon. My son's in the USAF and my son-in-law is in the USN so I worry about the younger generation having to fight a war that Trump started.

Christopher Sharp | 47 comments I caught something on ORMUS in a search and it led me here. I'm not selling anything, I don't want anything from anyone. I know, through experience, that the world around us is not what most people think it is. I know that anyone that debates the existence of aliens is afraid of the truth (that's most of the population) or has an agenda. I do some crazy shit, psychometry and the like, and I know that the truth isn't for everyone, it's only for those of us who can transcend the herd and aren't afraid.

message 732: by Vanessa (last edited Nov 11, 2017 02:02PM) (new)

Vanessa I feel like I’ve finally found the perfect place to discuss issues close to my heart! I love learning and the more I question, the more I seem to find myself on the other side of mainstream...I’m passionate about everything from holistic education (homeschooled my kids for years) to functional medicine. As a libertarian, I’m used to searching for the truth from alternative news sources, and I’m in the process of figuring out how to best use my writing/research skills to support grassroots efforts to bring awareness to the tremendous risks of vaccines to our children. For those interested, an ivy-league educated and NYU Medical School-trained Psychiatrist Dr. Kelly Brogan is a powerful voice in this arena, as are other pediatricians and immunologists who’ve stepped forward, but combatting Big Pharma ain’t easy, despite the compelling scientific evidence that adjuvants in vaccines are linked to neurological and autoimmune disorders, cancer, and other health risks. Not to mention the tremendous side effects from antidepressants (of which 60% of prescriptions are written by primary doctors, not mental health experts) and opioid use.

I knew this was the place for me when in the post describing what underground knowledge IS, it was stated that much of the time, those labeled as “conspiracy theorists” are often right.

Yes, we are. And thank you for this group.

Christopher Sharp | 47 comments Hi Vanessa,

You see through the lies and know the mainstream is nothing more than those that have been successfully brainwashed. The rest of us are on our own in a world that is not what it appears. The answer to big pharma is to get one person at a time to stop ingesting anything that they produce. Offer them an alternative that works and they will flock to it in droves. I believe that there is such an alternative, work toward it every day.

Will Thompson | 3 comments My People!

I am so happy to have found this group! ... Or maybe, not, since reading through all these posts, and their links, and the books tagged in them, is going to take like the next two years of my life. Do you offer a graduate degree? Haha.

My two biggest areas of interest thus far have been JFK and 9/11. I've also recently delved into learning more about the war profiteer corporations.

A lot of this has found its way into the mind of young Tristan, a character in my new novel, PATRIOTS. PATRIOTS is a story about escalating tensions and radical politics on a modern-day college campus, that lead one student to commit an act of domestic terrorism.

Tristan is in some ways a reborn version of some of the radical campus leaders of the 60s and 70s. In one of the key scenes in the novel he tries to convince his best friend that 9/11 was an inside job, and throughout the series, he's working to expose the war profiteers who are about to get us into yet another war.

The novel can be found here:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

Patriots: Book One A Novel

I'm looking forward to participating in your discussions and learning as much as I can. After all, the are more novels to write in this series and who knows what conspiracies Tristan will find himself digging into next.

Thank you to the founders for creating this great space! And to all the participants for adding to it!

-- Will

Goran Zivanovic Hi everyone. I'm a newbie and my name is Goran.

I run a small film production house in Australia called Gothic Zen Studios with my wife. I write to the point of madness or genius, I'm not sure which. I was published previously under a pseudonym and lately I'm using my real name. I generally author controversial conversation starters. Extraterrestrial and paranormal subject matter is constantly on my radar. I'm not really interested in Government conspiracies, but every now and then something might get me curious.

Cheers.

message 740: by JoAnn (new)

JoAnn Stevelos (joannstevelos) Hello, New to group and very interested in the topics I have read thus far. I hope I will find others here who share my interest in understanding how powerful organizations, like the Catholic Church, hide terrible deeds. I greatly admire the recent and beautifully written story in the NY Times The Lost Children of Tuam by Dan Barry. My novel, Howard Be Thy Name, is a story rooted in finding reasons for the complicated ways we fail our children in spite of our best intentions and the desire to give them a better life. The story asks how could this secret life go undetected and seeks to demonstrate that there are many victims of the sex abuse scandal that continues to plague the Catholic Church.

Thank you for the chance to share and hopefully find other writers and readers exploring themes of compassion, estrangement, vulnerability, complex family relationships, lost love, loneliness, and sexual and emotional abuse.

I've been reading a lot of titles that are loosely themed on the meditation of evil for a philosophy course-its origins, how it is defined and who defines it. So far, I've read the usual suspects-Nietzsche, Kafka and Dostoevsky (even harkening back to good ole Genesis but I welcome any other suggestions for books/authors who have a philosophical take on the concept of 'evil'.

Welcome Theme. You may be our only member from Liberia.

Your country has an intriguing history. Given its historical ties with the United States, do you or your family have any links with, or anything to do with, the U.S. or with the West in general? And what is the political mood in Liberia at present?

Paul Scrivener | 3 comments Hello and greetings to the Underground Knowledge group. My journey toward finding myself here and now, with yourselves, has been that of a deeply curious soul growing up in a troubled and overwhelmingly complex world/universe – a journey no doubt similar to many within your group.

Uncomfortable with the generally proclaimed dominance of mathematical precision over philosophical/dialectic precision – when both are used as tools for precisely describing the fundamental fabric/nature of all reality – I began coalescing and refining a written, personal philosophical viewpoint on the surrounding landscape of reality, intended as a symbiotic remedy to the limitations I perceive to be within mathematics when grappling with a foundational description of the purpose, drive, and story of the universe and its inhabitants.

As guides in my learning and writing process, I’ve relied most heavily on Plato, Ovid, Gibbon, Huxley, and Pratchett. If I’ve succeeded in the aim of my recently completed book, then readers will enjoy a journey through a captivating landscape that brings to life a model for the foundation of all that is, has been, and ever will be.

The 34 page book (brief and hopefully to the point) is titled ‘A Journey To The End Of Infinity; An Answer, When The Question Is Why? (Scrivener, Paul A., Dec 2017)’, and is available self-published on Amazon if any of your group’s citizens interests are piqued.
