How old should someone be to read this?

This book is not for young kids because of hard topics in the book, and the level it is written at, but I would say 14 and older are probably okay to read it.

I would say the language may be too difficult for some adolescents. But a teen with a moderately broad vernacular could accomplish this. It's a very moving memoir. Due to some of the difficult topics, I would say no younger than 14 as well.
