Vanity Fair
question
Book you liked more than you thought you would

What book that you were either forced to read or one that you thought you wouldn't like surprised you by how much you ended up liking it?
Mine is "Vanity Fair" I was going through a phase in which I was trying to read more of the classics and picked up this book. It was hefty and I was mostly attracted by the illustrations. The story itself didn't sound that interesting...but it ended up becoming one of my favorites.

I had to read this in high school and liked it more than I thought. It's a definite page turner, which was the norm of the day since it was originally published as a serial. Since each chapter ends with a hook, it was hard to put down. I stayed up way past my bedtime reading it!
