SOLVED. YA book in which teachers go to war with students [s]

I remember reading this book about ten years ago, when I found it in a Goodwill. I'm estimating the book is about twenty years old since it looked rather old when I found it then. The book has a long title. I want to say something like "The war between the no good, very bad teachers and the super amazing most excellent students". I remember reading it as a young teenager, thinking "this is bizarre. how are the adults letting us read this." I loved it. I know there's one climactic moment in which a teacher is on a jet ski. Also a very prolonged discussion of bookish students hiding out in the sewer? And they trade books with each other? Really regret losing this book. It was a good weird read. Would love to revisit it.
