I've read the book about 10 years ago, (2008).
It was a trilogy, the first book is set on a ship/submarine in an icy theme. Cover was also blue, and it had some kind of a water monster.
The other two books had green and red covers. (not sure about the green)

Eis by Wolfgang Hohlbein? The trilogy appears to have been translated in Hungarian (original German) as Jég, Kő and Gyémánt.
