On Point
Rating: ★★★
Completed: 9/13
Final Thoughts:
Though I didn't enjoy this as much as the first 2 books it was still pretty good. But Ben really needed to pull his head out of his ass and it was frustrating that as close as these boys were they couldn't just freaking communicate! It got really annoying after a while. The audiobook narrator was amazing as usual.

Final Thoughts:
I don't think this author is for me. Her books are just too slow. By the time anything happens I'm already so bored I don't even care anymore. This book was especially dull.

And who the hell just answers somebody's phone without permission? Cassidy answers Chris's phone while he is in the other room not once but twice! They aren't even friends! They are just work colleagues! And he says absolutely nothing! I would have flipped the fuck out. Bitch, don't touch my phone!

Review: This book two of the series begins a little before the first one ends. However, it introduces a new character, Bookbinder, and the story is viewed from his perspective. With Britton from the first book, I was hit or miss with him throughout the story (he was a little wishy-washy at times for me). With Bookbinder, I liked him instantly from the very beginning. I always enjoy a good "unlikely hero" story, and that is what we have here. This series has fantastic world building and I particularly enjoy the magic system created. And finally, just like in the first book, there are some great monsters and otherworldly creatures aplenty with lots of action throughout. Just as in the first book, there were a few loose ends, so I will definitely be reading the next book in the series.

Review: Not quite as interesting for me as the first one, but still a fun and quick read. I didn't think it needed the perspective of Amelia's brother and sister-in-law, and found those scenes slowed down and muddled the story. I am excited to see that the next book deals with Rachel and Liam, as they were great characters. The plot was a little all over the place, but good action scenes kept things moving, and the chemistry between the leads was steamy. Overall a fine book that did just what it needed to do.

Review:
This was a pretty good series. I liked Kane and Abby both, I thought it was an interesting plot and how it would switch to each of there perspectives. I even liked when it showed isabell and Trevor I do not think that is the last that we have heard from those two. There is to much chemistry there. I am actually surprised and will probably continue with this series and am glad that I had to go outside my usual and found this. I also kinda want to know more about this D character very mysterious or seems that way.

Extremely fascinating and interesting.... at first. Around the 5th hour or so I started to get bored. It was written well so no complaints there. I guess it was just about 100 pages longer than my interest in cadavers was.

Review:
How much more is Harry going to have to deal with. Though he does get his allies and helpful people but I feel like he gets dealt a lot worse things than good. I am very interested in the next book and see how he handles being a Warden and if he is going to stay with them. I don't think he will like it much it is going to put him in his past to much. Unfortunately many of his allies that he keeps getting comes with consequences you can use this power if you pay with some of your freedom yadda yadda yadda. I feel like this is a very complicated game that he may be losing at this point.

Review: This was definitely my least favorite book of the series. In book one the world building was amazing. In book two we are introduced to even farther reaches of this new world and to the many different inhabitants that live there. With so much left to explore, it was a blank canvas for book three. Instead he takes us back to New York for the entire book and focuses on one battle that lasts over several days. I was so let down. I didn't want to hear about New York...I wanted more of this incredible new world that made this series so special. I did enjoy the fact that the story focused on Harlequin this time and we learned his backstory...And of course all the favorite old characters were there again as well. I just felt that the author dropped the ball with this one and could have done so much more. I also love action books, but this one was just too monotonous after a while.

Review: A very good friend recommended this to me and ai’m glad she did. This was a fun take on time travel and the ethics of involvement in history. I wish the romance aspect had been bumped up a touch but I still found myself rooting for Si and Julia all the same. I loved how immersive the descriptions and art were to paint a picture of life in 1882. I also loved the somewhat plausible explanation for time travel. I found the mystery most intriguing and loved how it all wrapped up at the end. Now I’m so curious about where the series goes from here!

I've been wanting to read this for a while now. Makes me think of the movie "Somewhere In Time" back in the 1980s with Christopher Reeves.

I was wondering when Michael and his family was going to show back up agian! And he knew the whole time see Harry you have some good friends their for you they believe in you, and you made up with your second dad happily ever after or as close to one Harry is going to get it seems. I do like the way the story is going I just hope his next love interest is someone *wink wink* I think they would be good together, even if they aren't in that place. We will just have to maneuver some things to make them in that place. Molly and Harry will have to play it careful from now on they both have some darkness that they have to play with but oh so carefully or it might bite them back.

Morrigan's Cross (Circle Trilogy, #1) by Nora Roberts by Nora Roberts
Shelf: Own It
Date Read: 10/2/18
Rating: 2 stars
Review: It was tough getting through this one. I've never read a Nora Roberts book before and not sure I ever will again. Not sure how this one got so many good reviews. The idea of a Circle of Six ( the Sorcerer, the Witch, the Warrior, the Scholar, the One of Many Forms, and the Lost One) joining together and fighting an epic battle against evil to save mankind, sounded very appealing...And it probably would have been if that was what the book was about. This book was more about a group setting up house together and worrying more about what to make for dinner and how to plan a wedding, than how to train for an epic battle. I'm not sure how much time passed in the book, but their fighting skills never seemed to improve much. If they did fight an epic battle in this book, I don't think there is any way they would win. Unfortunately we never got to find out. There was a little unbelievable skirmish towards the end, but that's about it. I get that this is a trilogy, but we really should get much more out of the first book.

Review: I will admit that there was maybe one too many of the misunderstandings that kept this couple apart, but even still I loved this book. MacLean can do no wrong in my eyes. She always writes such great chemistry into her books and these characters were no exception. I loved the theme of redemption from our most shameful acts, and how we can always overcome them if we can forgive ourselves. The ending act took courage and a willingness to fight for what you want - a message that surely is needed for all time.

Review: I usually enjoy a good historical romance involving Highlanders and time travel. This book is definitely not Outlander, but a fun, quick, enjoyable read nonetheless. The female lead was a bit too wishy-washy for my taste. One minute she was a tough, take charge kind of gal; and the next minute she was wimpy and timid. However, there were many other colorful characters to enjoy. I particularly enjoyed the fae element involved in this book, and look forward to seeing how this weaves into the rest of the series. The best part of the book for me was the ending. I won't give anything away, but it was fun and unexpected!

How the hell did that ending occur. Now we look at lash differently or at least that part of her damn free well how you tempt us so. I still don't think that is the last we have heard from that thing though there will be something else I can already feel it. This is the calm before the storm isn't it. These are all fantastic they just keep you so enthralled to the very end. I was getting so worried for Harry in this book his temper has not been what it was he is quick to lose it and is getting angrier more often. Maybe now he will be calm for a little while I still think though that it's to quiet and things are going to turn upside down again real fast sooner rather than later.
