ABANDONED. Sci-Fi Short Story about man who crash lands on another planet and survives out of his escape pod

I read this story about 2 years ago about a man who crash lands his spaceship on another planet and builds a farm to survive on while he waits for the distress call to be heard. However, as the story moves forward you begin to notice that the man has actually imagined this whole world for himself on this desolate planet, and he is actually in a coma still in his stasis pod when help arrives. I want to use the story for my 10th grade English class, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. Does this sound familiar to anybody?
