Emma, around what year did you read this book? This will help narrow down the search.
Can you describe her visions early in the book and what triggers these visions?
Can you tell us more about the main characters - their ages, jobs/skills, how they meet, is there romance, etc.?
What's the genre or tone - for older adults or teens (young adults), mystery, crime, paranormal romance, romantic suspense, etc.?
What's the time period and location - country, region, big city/small town?

I mean, it might be one of the other books, but here's a rundown of what I can remember: The main character, Karen, is a babysitter and a senior in high school. When one of her kids goes missing, she finds him, and then suddenly rumour gets around that she's a psychic who can find kids. A young cop, Ron (who is scared of dogs and has a missing nephew named Matthew), asks for her help on a couple of kidnapping cases and then they track down some human traffickers who are stealing kids from a daycare. They hunt down the kidnappers together, go camping (and hold hands in their sleeping bags, this is for some reason my clearest memory of the book?)-- Another really specific thing I just remembered is that Karen's mom says she knew she would be with Karen's dad forever because she started to have visions of Karen when they started dating, and at the end, Karen has visions of her own future daughter? This is literally the last scene of the book.
Weirdest specific thing I can remember: The characters take a test including the quote, This is how the world ends, not with a bang but a whimper, and Karen connects it to the end of her current relationship.
I hope that helped or jogged your memory; Like I said, this may not be what you're looking for, but the information you gave fits perfectly.
Here's a short Google Books preview of The Third Eye by Lois Duncan - Aslee's suggestion:
https://books.google.com/books?id=CD-... There are different cover images.

I agree with you Aslee it does sound like the Lois Duncan book (one of my very favourite authors) except the book I read here in UK was called "The eyes of Karen Connors" probably different titles for USA and other parts of the world.I still remember scenes from that book so vividly, must track it down and read it again :)

I read it here in Australia, where it was also called 'The Eyes of Karen Connors'. I think I helped someone else solve a query for the same book a few years back, and it really threw me that I couldn't find the title I knew on Goodreads. I ended up searching Lois Duncan and going through all of her titles.
