SOLVED: Sci-fi/Fantasy- 80's 90's? Knights encounter giant white, slimy, carnivorous worms in a vast cave system.

uthfully, I only remember the cover of this thing and maybe one of the types of monsters in it. The cover itself was extremely colorful with I believe either banners or flags and a city in the background with a small brown canoe in the forefront. In the canoe is a being kinda like a fairy and a small child. Other thing was these giant white carnivorous worms. 

Any ideas on what it could be?
