YA paranormal romance book. Read (possibly published) around 2012. Plot revolves around a girl sent to a camp/school to learn to control her powers (possibly elemental type magic). Teachers and students at the school have different types of powers. She learns that she is being trained to be used by the government (tries to escape). Thank you!

No, I haven’t read that novel but thank you Rosa! In the book I’m looking for you don’t find out about the governments role till later in the story. But from the description I can see how you saw similarities
