Quick first live, but we talked about this summer, the upcoming reads for the book club and it was great. It's really exciting to be back and plan our next reads !
For next week, Sunday, September 9th, we need to read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, up to PART VII - Night . Alberto will post the time of the live later.
He also told us the next three books we will be reading:
- Life of Pi, by Yann Martel
- Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe
- The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas
Alberto said that we will try to challenge us more, and hopefully read a total of 10 books, like we did last year. But who knows, maybe we will read more ;)
You can also suggest some books, or just tell what you're looking forward to for this new "year" of Rosende Reads with the hashtag #RosendeReadsReturns on Twitter.

Sunday, September 23rd, at 1pm PST (4 pm EST) if nothing changes.
We will finish our current book.
Life of Pi, by Yann Martel, is the next book on our list and we will start reading right after, in time for the first live which will probably be held on Sunday, September 30th.

The story was posted 9 hours ago, which means you still have some time to vote if you want to.
Alberto said in a tweet that he will take a decision by today, Friday, October 26th.

We've just wrapped the last live for Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe.
Now, let's talk about our book list for the upcoming months.
🔹 First of all, we are going to postpone the reading of The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas until the Summer 2019. We will discuss the abridged version of the book, but you can still read the unabridged one if you want.
🔹 Next book on our fantastic book list is going to be
Man's Search for Meaning, by Viktor Frankl.We will start reading it on Monday, November, 12th, and we will have our first discussion on Monday, November 19th.
🔹 Moreover, Alberto also announced four others books , that we will be reading in the following order:
・The Hate U Give, by Angie Thomas (this one will be our last read of 2018)
・Into the Wild, by Jon Krakaeur (our first read of 2019)
・Soul of Solomon, by Toni Morrison
・The Joy Luck Club, by Amy Tan

I'm beyond excited to be back and to give you the good news: in case you missed it, Alberto posted a little something on the Rosende Reads IG Story yesterday, saying that Rosende Reads will be back this month! ⬇️
We still have no news regarding the time or the day for the first IG live of September, but as usual, I'll try to update you as soon as possible.
During ItaCon2, Alberto said that the first live will be about the notes of Lord of the Flies , which was the last book that we read before the summer break.
And if nothing has changed, the first book we will read will be The Handmaid's Tale , by Margaret Atwood.
