Finished up Competence by Gail Carriger. This is the third book in the "second generation" featuring the children of Alexia, Ivy, and Madame LeFoux.

A decent book, full of the usual writing flair Carriger brings to her work. The scenes read well enough. There's not much in the way of her usual worldbuilding though. The crew whips through Singapore without interacting with it much. Then on to South America and a tacked-on interaction with some Supernaturals there. This book lacks the immersive location feel from the first two books set in India and Egypt. I enjoyed it okay, but not greatly as I usually do with Carriger's works.
