Welcome Scott...Elvira and I look forward to having you feast with us at our next execution dinner! lol

Bunny, bunny everyone! :)

I'm Maku, I teach college part-time and I'm a reader. I used to write stuff then it just went. I'm a freelance visual artist, and you can see my stuff here: http://facebook.com/makufelixart
So nice to meet people here on goodreads!

You want dark? Check out some of the traditional Icelandic stories....forests they don't have, but mountains and cold they sure do...not a book you want to buy a kid as a souvenir...

Er... excellent movie, but it took place a long way from Iceland; Antarctica, to be precise. Oddly enough, the original story and movie took place in the Arctic.

They are....the hotel I was at, since it wasn't in the city center, provided "entertainment" for their guests....one night was a local who would come in and read these horrific, dark folk tales. Another night, there was an Icelandic film....in which the detective went through the drive thru and got a sheep's head and a beer to go! (there's a reason why that country's favorite restaurant is a hot dog stand!)
There are very few trees there, so in March it was 18 below and the wind was fierce. When you go riding, they give you a snowmobile suit to put on over your other clothes and coat.

Hi, James! Welcome to Scaredy Cats. Help us bring up the activity level around here. Start some new topics. We'd love to get to know you better and talk with you about your favorite horror books/movies/authors, etc.

My name's Ashley and I'm a pretty big horror fan. I'm a Poe fan. I'm a pretty big horror movie watcher and I'm trying to watch more. I like the older stuff more than the newer stuff out there. Stuff like The Thing and The Shining and pretty much anything thriller/horror based that Hitchcock touched.
I'm a writer and I'm pretty involved in the Nosleep stuff on Reddit, but I definitely want to participate in other forums so I found this one and thought it'd be cool to come hang out.
Hiya, Ashley!
We're not the busiest or most regimented Reading Group here at Goodreads, but we're nice and kinda' fun to be around. Hopefully, some input from you will spur conversation. :)

I like horror books, movies and comics. I've always read some horror, but recently I've been reading more of it. Most recently I've been reading Hugh B. Cave, James Herbert and Peter Benchley. Old favorites are Robert Bloch, Norman Partridge, Neal Gaiman, K. W. Jeter and Stephen King.
I decided to join because I liked the name of your group.
Hi, David...
Welcome here. I must confess that I also joined this group because of the cool name. ;)
The holidays have slowed down that the activity here a bit, but maybe some of your recent posts will spur some conversation in this new year.
See you here and there.

HUGS!

I have had a love for horror ever since I watched my first horror movie (Nightmare On Elm Street) when I was about 11 years old. I also find serial killers and other true crime extremely fascinating. IMO, a lot of that is way scarier than any fiction horror.
:)
Hello, Alex! That's my 9 year old great niece's name, too... short for Alexandra, in her case.
Welcome to the creepiest, eeriest, scariest, and a few other ests group at GoodReads. Well, not really, but we like to think it's the awesomest group. :)
Snoop around. Start some new and interestingly creepy threads. We love meeting new boils and ghouls here at Scaredy Cat. ;)

Not a bad horror movie to start with. Welcome Alex.

Glad you're able to join us Sara after wearing your snow shovel down to a nub digging yourself out. You'll be happy to know that we try to limit the creeps to only being on the pages around here.

I'm Kay, best known for my erotic romance books and films. My passions run deep with erotica, and also with horror and last week I published my first non-erotic horror/ghost story novella "Soles" on Amazon/KU. Soles Kay Brandt
This seems like a fun group, and I'm looking forward to participating on the threads. I'd also like to give away a few copies of my book, too. Please direct me to the best thread for that.
Thanks, and happy Friday!
You popped in on the 5th and none of the creepy members have welcomed you to Scaredy Cats? Well, I guess they left that to me.
W E L C O M E, K A Y ! ! !
Erotica can be pretty scary sometimes, too. You'll fit right in here. :)

Oh, I have a YouTube page that just launched. There's silly clips of me, but also of the adult film I wrote/directed last year "Safe Landings" which was also based on the erotic romance novel I published last summer. https://youtu.be/BDfao0KbcUA
