If you like Garden Spells try her Sugar Queen book. I loved that one the best. Jeeves, a wonderful choice! Enjoy!!

I really like this series. Have read the first 2 and have the next 3 in The Pile.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

I loved

Read them! You will not regret it! They are so...enticing. The way Watson narrates is wonderfully descriptive without being boring. I have been testing the waters with different film adaptations as there seem to be so many that I can't tell which would be good and which may be stinkers. Any versions you like best?

Just ordered my Roku today...can't wait to get it. Do you love it Heidi?

Finally finished Why? Because We Still Like You: An Oral History of the Mickey Mouse Club, which was won from GoodReads. I don't usually care for biography, but having watched the MMC in reruns growing up, it was interesting to read how it was concepted, actualized, and impacted children's programming (though there could have been more on that).
Now reading Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.
Now reading Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.

That's what I've been told. Seems like all of my friends on the M/T board read it a couple of years ago and they've raved about the trilogy ever since. Figured I'd finally give it a shot. It's my "purse" book, so will probably take awhile to get through. I'm also reading

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is such a fabulous read! I cannot rave about it enough!

*sigh* Colin Firth *sigh*
I liked Bleak House as well (and Cranford). Have you watched North & South (BBC version)? I highly recommend it. I also recommend the current BBC version of Sherlock and the BBC tv series Lark Rise to Candleford (which my library bought for me - yay!)

I agree about Colin Firth! I was reading something about him in EW the other day and they called him "the thinking woman's heartthrob". Sounds good to me!

I agree. A very intricate, intense read. I'm just finishing the third one, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, and will be very sorry to come to the end of the series - though I hear hints that a fourth manuscript might exist.
may exist.

The entire series is based on quilting and quilters. I am also a quilter, so I have really enjoyed the series. I suggest you start with the first in the series, The Quilter's Apprentice, and read them mostly in order so you get to know all the quilters. I hope you enjoy them.

Yes, Heidi, Colin Firth is faboo. I just finished watching North and South and I have Larkrise to Candleford on request at the library. There is also a Return to Cranford which is just as charming as the first. there is also a Christmas in Cranford which I haven't got yet. Also Little Dorrit is good with Matthew MacFayden, I have another video of MacFayden, he also did a Pride and Prejudice in Colin Firth's role, I heard he was mean, Matthew not Colin in said role.
I've just finished
. I don't like historical romance usually, but Stephanie Laurens is the exception, I like her books a lot.

Mary, I have seen bits and pieces of the Olivier 1930, maybe I should revisit that one as well. Olivier is also good in Wuthering Heights, I still love his portrayal of Heathcliff, along with Merle Oberon as Cathy. I have seen newer versions of WH. with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche, but that portrayal was too violent in my opinion.

I just started this book, too.

Let me know what you think. I am just beginning today (once I drag my butt away from Goodreads) and have pretty high hopes for it. I can't say why, but I hope I'm not disappointed. Enjoy!
