Me either! Do you like reading SH from other authors? I know many people won't.

I have no problem with other's takes on Sherlock, but then I like Goldsborough's Nero Wolfe books too. I have several Sherlock Holmes anthologies on my Nook, including all of Doyle's originals. I am partway through The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Read The Abandoned by Amanda Stevens on Tuesday (though I should have been concentrating on the book started over the weekend). The long-anticipated fourth book in her "Graveyard Queen" series is out next week, though I know I won't lay hands on it for a while.

Melodie (melodieco) | 5280 comments Reading Midnight Bites Stories of the Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine Midnight Bites: Stories of the Morganville Vampires. A favorite series that actually ended. This is a collection of short stories involving lots of the main characters. Any time I can read about the characters from this series, is a good time!

Kait Carson | 182 comments I bought the follow on book in the Tony Hillerman series that his daughter wrote. I've heard they are equally as good as his books were. Then, once it was loaded on my Kindle, I thought - hum, why not read the series first in order, so, I'm currently reading The Blessing Way. The Blessing Way (Leaphorn & Chee, #1) by Tony Hillerman . While it's fun to look back, it's not as satisfying as it was the first time. Maybe because it is dated and when I read it, the book was contemporary. Or maybe it was because it was the first of the series and Hillerman hadn't hit his stride yet. Of course, I miss Chee, but I know he comes later. I'm looking forward to working my way though the full series in the next couple of years.

I started Death at Breakfast by Beth Gutcheon over the weekend, which I received through GR's "First Read" giveaways. So far it's been good. Definitely NOT a cozy due to strong language that I know turns many of you off.

I would never say that! After all, when I was in 8th grade, my teacher told me it was "inappropriate for a young lady" to read science fiction.
