Rachel, so glad you're feeling better. You were so hard on yourself in the beginning of the challenge but you really picked up in the end :-)
I noticed that you had started reading Newtown: An American Tragedy. Its coming up on my ATY challenge for "Place in the Title".... I'm both curious/fascinated to read and terrified.... Sandy Hook Elementary School is only about 15 minutes away from where I live, and I drive by it when I go to visit my mother. There is a light post in the middle of the Intersection in front of the old school ( I think I heard that they moved it and built a new one down the street?) that is covered with art and memorials and it just makes me cry every time I drive by it. I will never forget that day. It affected me horribly at work in the hospital, and I was also a new mother which just made me think about the parents suffering. I went home and slept with my daughters and I remember just laying there listening to them breathe and praying that it never hits any closer to home.

Lol, well I was frustrated that the project I had from work took up way more time than I expected, so I had almost no time to read. The only reason I "picked up" at the end (in reality, back to my normal reading rate) is because I actually had the time.

I ended up reading 286 pages today (the rest of If I Could Turn Back Time, and 172 pages of Newtown: An American Tragedy). I'd been hoping to finish Newtown today to count as my non-fiction and give me a Bingo on the individual Bingo cards, but I didn't quite get there. My own fault for procrastinating today, when I literally had the whole day to read.
