147 pages today, but still only on Dreams of Gods & Monsters. I'm hoping over the weekend I'll not only have more time to read, but more time to check on our board and see if there's anything more I can do to help.I've been keeping up with the daily games at least.
I think that categories we still need are red cover, library book, and romance, if anyone is ready to pick a book for the weekend. Children’s books and audiobooks are the other places we could use help.Tracy got square 8 from the first card.
In addition, squares 5, 19, and 22 should be uncovered and haven’t been yet. I have no idea about any of the covers, and want more hints!!

Morning everyone!Board two has been updated now.
My only update is that I’ve finished More About Paddington which could count for board two square 11 as I borrowed it from my library.
My page count for the week is now 412 pages. Lower than I was aiming for but hopefully I can contribute more over the weekend.
I finished a library book yesterday : CaravalAnd am now reading a book with a red cover: Elizabeth is missing.
Hope these can fill those gaps on the board

my favorite movie adaptation is the current "It" from Stephen King I hate clowns... that movie scared the crap out of me... I think every clown is a serial killer lol... I am glad my kids are adults now!

We are still looking for another non-fiction, a romance, some more children's books, and audiobook hours from someone who hasn't hit 5 hours yet. And of course, book completions.
I forgot to make a row for the "everyone participates in the nomination and voting process", so let me know about that.
We also have hold-outs on the poetry and film adaptation "everyone" squares (Sarah, Christine, Rachel, Veronica).
I can do the non fiction today and finish it either today or tomorrow it is about autism... so I will have that covered.

Hi everyone I have read a total of 847 pages in 3 books, I am now reading a non-fiction book , the autistic brain... which will add another I think 247 pages... I also listened to 5 hours of audiobooks of Pond Scum a murder/mystery... so that was my fourth book, the autistic brain will be my fifth book so we can check that off. I also read my favorite poem by Dylan Thomas "Do not go gentle into that good night"Do not go gentle into that good night

I am now reading a non-fiction book about autism, that is 279 pages, in addition to my other three books I have read which totaled 872 pages, and one book a murder/mystery on audio pond scum I listened to so when I finish the autism book I will have finished a total of 5 books I will keep you posted hopefully tonight or early tomorrow.
Oh guys I just wrote a bunch of stuff out on page 3 sorry some of it should help though... I'm trying to learn this system...

Can you list the names of all of the books you've read so far? Maybe one of them will work for an open task. You mentioned Pond Scum and The Autistic Brain: Thinking Across the Spectrum, Is that by Temple Grandin? We can use that to check off our non fiction prompt.
What are the other 3 books you've read?
Chrissy- 2 hours of audio for me today while I was doing errands/chores. Still working on The Cuckoo's Calling.
Not sure how much reading I'll be able to contribute today. I was up until 7:30 this morning, tried to get some sleep, and then workers came to do some repairs on the window trimmings outside my building around 9, so I kept waking up and finally gave up on sleep at 11 am. I feel like a walking zombie, but I'm really looking forward to my next 2 books.
I need to update my page count because I went back and did some research on my kindle version of Five Days at Memorial: Life and Death in a Storm-Ravaged Hospital.... my page count showed 449 pages but when i was reading it, I was at 75 percent through for almost the entire last quarter of the book. According to the page counts here it is 602 pages which explains why I was reading page 449 FOREVER.So 153 extra pages for me please....That brings my total page count as of yesterday to 993 pages. I'll update later tonight if I don't sleep and do some reading.

Ju..."I didn't count it mostly because you didn't read it recently, in the spirit of the prompt. (Also, it isn't Lord Byron.) But now I just saw you typed it out so of course you've reread it in doing so, I'll cross that off for you.
A few more squares are completed: #24 on the old card and #2 on the new one.

I'd highly recommend Atonement for a book-to-movie adaptation. I actually saw the movie before reading the books, and I loved both.

I know right? Im in awe myself lol... I didn't think I read that much. I posted that I finished my last book when I was on the last page, and then the last page lasted almost an entire day after I posted.... I don't know why the page numbers were so off on my kindle, strangest thing. I'll pass 1,000 pages tonight I think.
I'm enjoying the cuckoos calling, Its been awhile since I've had enough driving time to listen to audio , so its a nice change. She actually does mystery pretty well. I'm not even comparing it to Harry Potter. I was noticing today how descriptive she writes at times. Curious to see how it ends.
Wow, Hannah, you are crushing the page count! That puts us over 7500 pages and completes square 9.

Haha, thanks. 5 is bugging me too! I've seen it, and I think I even considered adding it to my TBR, but I can't think of the title and it's driving me crazy!
The last two days have been slow for me... I've had a lot to do around the house and with a 4 month old, it's hard to find down time, lol.
I'm at a total of 6.5 hours audio and 350 pages read. I'd love to be able to finish another print book, but I think I'm only going to be able to get the audiobook completed. On the plus side, the audiobook will count towards the library book task if it hasn't been covered yet. I'm going to be starting another book - The Ghost Brigades but I wasn't able to get to the library before it closed to pick it up today, so I won't be able to start it until tomorrow. At least it'll count towards some of the cumulative pages.
I also read some picture books to my son today... but I can't remember their names... One is just a cloth baby book with shapes and colours, I don't even think it has a name, lol. But you can mark me down for 3 children's books.
We’ve closed out the children’s books thanks to Peter, and I finished my Canadian mystery. That means 13 and 18 squares get uncovered.I’m convinced that I’ve never seen any of the bingo card books, which is funny because I knew 5 of the 6 on the first card.

I just finished Lab Girl, which I finished the last 99 pages. I also did one more hour of my audiobook.Looking at the available categories, it can work for Board 2, Task 20, a non- fiction book.
Finished 2 more books:Everything, Everything for the romance category
and Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood
I think most of our categories are done now with Veronica filling non- fiction, and Chrissy filling in other country. If need be, we can use Persepolis for red cover, but I think Lisa is working towards that, so it will go towards page counts at least. ( Edit: we're done with page counts lol)
Working on Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine this weekend for the F-A-L-L prompt, I already started chapter 1.
Read a short story "All of Me" from Beautiful And Damned for the bingo card ( it was as bad as the poem I read from same book )
Total books read to date = 8
Total pages read to date = 1483 pages !!!!! This has been my most successful read-a -thon yet!

we don't have too many tasks to finish... our team has actually completed almost everything except behind on the audio, but you maxed out on that with 9 hours. So for now, just keep reading until the end for book counts and have fun :-)

I’ll add Blade Runner (loosely based on Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?) as my book to film adaptation. Both book and film are fantastic, though the film is slightly terrifying in my opinion!
